Stupid Question

I am buying a street stock and trailer this week. Well, I went to pick up a trailer hitch for my truck today, and my max towing weight on my truck is 5,000lbs + 500lbs. Well while I was on my phone I accidentally picked up a hitch that allows for 6,000lbs + 600lbs of tow and tongue weight. I dunno, I had the right one in my hands to begin with. Should I go ahead and get the 5,000lb + 500lb hitch. It was an honest mistake and I feel really dumb even asking but what can ya do?
 
Thanks Smokin...Its a confusing day, alot going on so I was flustered when I found I might have not had the right one...But was thinkin myself it might work too but wasnt sure...Thanks alot.:D
