Wheatland, MO (April 15th, 2007)- With Mother Nature doing her best to hold up the racing action for 2007, Greenbrier, Arkansas native, Jack Sullivan, driving the Bryant Motorsports, #18 GRT / Hatfield machine captured The Orscheln's Farm and Home Spring Thunder Late Model Race presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts at The Lucas Oil Speedway on Sunday, April 15th. With record car counts in the pits and difficult track conditions, Jack held off a hard charging Alan Vaughn to take the $3,000 top prize. Joey Mack, Jeremy Payne, and Terry Phillips rounded out the Top 5 followed by Al Purkey, John Anderson, Billy James, Bill Frye, and Brandon McCormick.

In The Pitt's Homes A-Modified feature, Bob Test in the #27T survived a quickly deflating right front tire to take the win. Terry Schultz, Charles Benedict, Jesse Wheeler and Jesse Willard rounded out the top 5. Hermitage, Missouri's Eric Turner in the 99T walked away from a frightening rollover in turn 3 after incidental contact with Johnny Fennewald in the 21F.

Eric Turner, driving the blue #1 captured the win in the TCI Transmission Factory Stocks. Bob Gustin in the #02 finished a close second followed by Jay Lamers, Eddie Barnes, and Richard Brainard respectively.

The Chester Fried Chicken B-Mods saw Wes Segar from Edwards, MO take the win. Wes was followed to the stripe by Lyle Dietrich in the #13. Corey Pritchard, Jim Cihy, and Andrew Beauchamp were third through fifth.

The racing was a struggle all day due the excessive rains and snow that had been dumped on the speedway the last couple of weeks. The staff at The Lucas Oil Speedway would like to thank all of the fans, drivers, and crews for their patience on what turned out to be a challenging day for all involved. We will rebound better than ever with our next race on April 21st, which will feature a full compliment of weekly racing and the "Earth Day" Junior Fan Club Event. We hope to see you there. The weather forecast this week should be much better for racing as they are calling for Sunshine and highs around 80.

Upcoming events: April 28th will feature all six weekly classes in action with a special Driver Autograph/Fan Day at the track. The speedway has many special events planned throughout the season highlighted by the Lucas Oil Dirt Series Late Models $25,000 to win Superchip's "Diamond of the Dirt Mothers Day" special presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts on May 11th and 12th.

The "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", the Lucas Oil Speedway is a 3/8th mile; semi-banked clay oval located 5 Blocks south of US Highway 54, on State Highway 83, in Wheatland, MO.
