summernationals-Haubstadt

Is it me, or is this one of the best years for the summernationals as far as quality drivers competing at every event? If Moyer and Shirley stay with the tour it has to be!

Hammerlee. How come he wasnt in the feature. I saw he didnt make the show but i thought they put the top UMP point leader in feature or is that only the dash.

The standings are only through June 9th. Im sure Steidinger is ahead of him in points, otherwise he would have been put into the feature.....???

There are two UMP provisionals for each race, and one track provisional. The first UMP provisional is for last years highest in UMP Nat. Points who doesn't make the show, Cole was ahead of Hammerle in 2007 points and obviously was given one of the provisionals. I'm not sure what the second UMP provisional is based on (possibly highest in 2007 summernational points?) . It appears to have went to Weaver. And Zobrist got the track provisional.

Hammerle was still the current UMP points leader at the beginning of the night. Wes raced his way in via 5th place finish in the B Main. (they took 6)

If my calculations are correct, here is the top 3 in UMP points after tonights action. I'm fairly sure I have the bonus points correct for Erb and Steidinger. I am also assuming that Erb and Steidinger did not race anywhere on Friday night when Brownstown rained out.

Hammerle 1333
Erb 1279
Steidinger 1264

inlcudes: Highland 6/10, KLMS(20 bonus points) 6/12, Belleville 6/13, Macon 6/14, Kamp(17 bonus points) 6/14, Haubstadt(18 bonus points) 6/15

Since Haubstadt does not have run late models, they took the guys who finished 7th-10th in the B main and had a fan pick a name out of a hat. Zobrist was the winner. Thought it was good because it rewarded guys that had run pretty well tonight and all those guys were running really tight for the final transfer.

congrats to Michael Kloos on a strong showing, and best of luck on the rest of your SN dates...

any word if Weidner made junk of the car? glad to hear he walked away unhurt...
