Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Clarksville Speedway March 1 for 10th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic

Glasgow, KY-February 18, 2014- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series 2014 season opening event is less than two weeks away, with the first event of the 18 race schedule for 2014 taking place at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN as part of the track’s 10th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic on Saturday March 1, with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series main event paying $1,500 to win and $200 to start.


The trip for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series to the ¼ mile Clarksville Speedway red clay oval will mark the tour’s first ever visit to the track that has been a mainstay on the UMP DirtCar circuit since UMP was created by the late Bob Memmer back in 1984. As part of the racing weekend, the track will also have a full racing program the evening before on Friday February 28 that will also see the MARS/UMP Super Late Models in action along with UMP DirtCar Modifieds, plus other local divisions. The track will also be having an open practice night prior to events getting underway for the weekend on Thursday February 27, with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. local time and practice lasting until 9:00 p.m.


The 2014 Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series season opener is the 10th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic and will take place on Saturday March 1 at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN. The event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start 10th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic. Among other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Clarksville Speedway on Saturday March 1 will be the MARS/UMP Super Late Models racing for $5,000 to win and the Quick Car PCRA Crate Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, plus UMP Street Stocks, UMP Pure Minis, and Mini-Sprints.


Most Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series events start from 22 to 24 cars, but the event at Clarksville see something different take place. A total of 26 cars and drivers will start the $1,500 to win/$200 to start event. The first 20 starters will come via qualifying heats and B-Mains. Starters 21 and 22 will be Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series provisional starters based on 2013 final points, while Clarksville Speedway will use a pair of track provisional starters to fill positions 23 and 24. The 25th starting spot will go the highest finishing driver from Friday evening’s UMP DirtCar Modified main event that is not in the show, while the 26th starter will be the winner of the “Toilet Bowl” Dash, with a group of four to six drivers not in the shown drawn out by random and run this event, with the winner transferring to the A-Main.


Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series 10th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic event will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. Practice laps will get underway at 6:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials, with racing set to get underway around 7:00 p.m. All times listed are Central Time. Ticket prices for this event at Clarksville Speedway in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, while a pit pass will be $40.
