Sunoco® Road to Wheatland Heads to Lucas Oil Speedway for the SuperClean Diamond Nationals

Corona, CA (May 4, 2009) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series makes its final stop on the "Sunoco Road to Wheatland" program this weekend. The series will travel to the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo for the $30,000 to win SuperClean Diamond Nationals. With the added bonus money put up under the "Sunoco Road to Wheatland" program the series will set a new record for drivers that have attended every series event leading up to the Diamond Nationals. Twenty two (22) super late model drivers have maintained perfect attendance on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series leading to this coming weekend prestigious Diamond Nationals. They include, Scott Bloomquist, Earl Pearson Jr., Billy Moyer, Ray Cook, Jimmy Owens, Scott James, Dale McDowell, Josh McGuire, Don O'Neal, Steve Casebolt, Jeep VanWormer, Eric Jacobsen, Dan Schlieper, Bart Hartman, Brad Neat, Donnie Moran, David Breazeale, John Blankenship, John Mason, Freddy Smith, Tommy Weder Jr. and Michael Walker.

Sunoco Race Fuels has also added a special $2,000 bonus for the Diamond Nationals if the driver that wins the Diamond Nationals maintained perfect attendance leading to the event and uses Sunoco Race Fuel in his racecar, that driver will receive a $2,000 bonus at the Diamond Nationals. Drivers eligible for the special Sunoco bonus include, Earl Pearson Jr., Billy Moyer, Dale McDowell, Josh McGuire, Don O'Neal, Steve Casebolt, Bart Hartman, Brad Neat, Donnie Moran, John Mason, Freddy Smith and Tommy Weder Jr.

The "Sunoco Road To Wheatland" program rewards drivers that follow the series with perfect attendance to each Lucas Oil Championship Points event beginning at East Bay Raceway in Tampa, FL through the May 8th & 9th, 75 Lap "3rd Annual SuperClean Diamond Nationals event at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.

In the "Sunoco Race For Gas" points standings Billy Moyer remains on top followed by Earl Pearson Jr., Steve Casebolt, Dale McDowell and Josh McGuire rounds out the top five in Sunoco points. Sunoco Race Fuels will pay the driver that earns the most Sunoco Race for Gas points and has perfect attendance during the year, a $3,000 cash award at the series year end banquet and the runner up will receive a $1,000 cash award from Sunoco Race Fuels.
