SUPR vs. MSCCS July 16th at Columbus

Columbus, MS-The next event at Columbus Speedway will feature the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series drivers at Columbus Speedway on Saturday night July 16th at 8pm as it will be a $4,000 to win and $400 to start MSCCS versus Louisiana based O’Reilly SUPR Series as part of the 59-lap 6th Annual Carl Hogan Automotive John L Cliett Tribute race. This will truly be a Border Wars weekend as an intersectional mix of drivers will be competing together giving the fans a wonderful opportunity to see talented drivers they have only read about. It has all the elements in place that should provide one of the finest weekends of racing action witnessed this season.



The huge event at the high banks of Columbus Speedway is one of the biggest events of the year to be held at “The Baddest Bullring in the South.” The running of the 6th Annual John L Cliett Tribute will be enhanced by the race being a MSCCS versus O’Reilly SUPR challenge event. The race will feature a blend of rules plus an exciting format in the $4,000 to win and $400 to start main event that will also see starting an expanded field to 24 cars.



Fans will be afforded the unique opportunity to see two rival touring series race together in the “challenge” event. The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series is currently being led by Four Corners, Mississippi driver “The Ragin’ Rebel” David Breazeale with David Gentry of Lewisburg, Tennessee exceptionally close in the points with Holden, Louisiana’s Chris Wall in third place. The O’Reilly SUPR Series is currently being led by Zachary, Louisiana’s David Ashley, with Ruston, Louisiana superstar Kenny Merchant in second place, and Longview, Texas driver Jason Ingalls residing in third. The intersectional event will showcase drivers from across the south for the Columbus Speedway fans as the Mississippi area drivers will be guarding their home turf from the outside invaders.



In addition to the drivers already mentioned; other top name drivers are expected to be in action including Mike Boland, Anthony Rushing, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Rodney Wing, Tombo Callahan, Scott Dedwylder, Mark Stokes, Robbie Starnes, Neil Baggett, Jason Smith, Garrett Durrett, Shawn Edwards, Jamie Elam, plus many more of the local, MSCCS, SUPR, and drivers from across the south.



The event format at Columbus Speedway will be a crowd pleaser as drivers and fans will see action starting off with Brown Engineering Group Pole Qualifying, Super Late Model Heat races, Cliburn Tank Lines B-Mains, and the 59-lap main event for the 24-car starting field. Plus all local divisions will be in action.
