CARTERSVILLE, GA – Talladega Short Track officials have notified the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series that they have cancelled the $10,000-to-win Red Top Auto Auctions Dega 100 Presented By Hoosier Race Tire that was scheduled for this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The event will not be rescheduled during the 2009 season.
Talladega Short Track and NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials have agreed to incorporate the $10,000-to-win Dega 100 into the series’ 2010 schedule that will be released later this year.
TST officials said weather forecasts for Thursday and Friday were calling for three inches of rain on already saturated grounds at the track.
