Center Line, Mich. - Team Mopar's open-wheel racing stable has been a force to reckon with throughout the 2005 racing season, and it will be heading full speed into this week's Mopar Sprint & Midget Classic at Orlando Speedworld, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, December 1 and 2. The event, which will be run in conjunction with the 18th Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, features an eye-opening $50,000 bonus to the driver who can pull off the double event victory.

Dave Steele is the only race driver to date to have accomplished such a feat, and he'll be looking to put his Nicholas Motorsports ride into the history books once again.

"Winning the $50,000 bonus in the Twin 25s event wasn't easy, and I don't expect it to be easy to do it again this year," Steele said. "Steve Lewis, Mopar and all the sponsors involved in this event have given us a great opportunity to get our team in the history books. There will be a lot of tough competitors at this event, but I think we'll be in the hunt to win both events on Friday night. We're looking forward to trying."

Other Team Mopar drivers and teams scheduled to compete include 2005 USAC National Midget Series champion Josh Wise of the Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises team. He'll be joined by teammate Jay Drake in the USAC National Sprint Car Series portion of the event. Steele and his Nicholas Motorsports teammate Kyle Nicholas will compete in both series. Wilke-PAK Motorsports, the 2005 USAC National Midget Series owner's champions, will compete in the midget portion of the event. They'll be joined by Teddy Beach of Beach Boys Motorsports. Hoffman Auto Racing will look to win the USAC National Sprint Car Series portion of the event.

Practice for the Mopar Sprint & Midget Classic is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EST on Thursday, December 1, for all divisions. Qualifying will begin at
5:15 p.m. EST, followed by heat race events for all divisions at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The Friday night finale will begin with practice at 2 p.m. EST. Racing for the USAC Midget and Sprint Car Series is slated to begin at 8:20 p.m. EST.
