Test Grabs LebanonMidway Mod $$$ In Dramatic Ending

Lebanon,Mo.-With over 105 race teams in the pits Friday Night,action heated-up again at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway as sponsorships dollars were floating around for the Bombers and the Modifieds.JP Concrete and MWT Transpotation provided extra money right to the drivers as 100 extra was awarded to the winner and 2 25 lottery spots were put into the field.Alos an extra 300 was to be awarded to the winner of the Modified feature compliments of Dale Whitten.
The Superstock feature would see Donnie Gennings power to the early lead followed by Jody Saultz.Point leader Tony Jackson Jr who started 6th was coming through the field also.Last weeks winner JC Newell got caught up in in incident along with Jason Otto on lap 2 and returned at the rear after changing a flat tire.
On the restart,Gennings kept it on the hub as Jackson moved around Saultz to challange.On lap 4,Jackson tried Gennings as the lead duo made contact with Jackson heading for the pits with a flat.Returning at the rear,Gennings would head the field again.On lap 7,Jackson moved to the front as Gennings ran side by side.Lap 9 Jackson beat Gennnigs to the stripe,but Gennnigs gathered it back out of turn 2.Lap 11 the yellow waved for sheetmetal from Jody Saultz's car as Jackson took over the lead again to record the win followed closely by Gennings,JC Newell,Salutz and Jamie Petty at the finish.
With some of Central Missouri's top Modified shoes coming to the Midway,an extra 300 was put up to the winner as the 20 car field took the green with 2 time winner Eric Hudson grabbing the early lead with Shannon Frank right on his bumper followed by Jason Russell and Steve Beach.On lap 3,Dewayne Mitchell looped it in turn 4 bringing out the yellow.On the restart,point leader Jamie Ragland moved into the top 5 with the Holts Summit "Hurricane"David Payne now coming forward.Lap 4 the yellow waved as second place running Frank spun in turn 4 bunching up the field.Under the caution,Curt Rackers went to the pits to change a tire and restarted 18th on the field.On the restart,Hudson stayed low as Jason Russell keep putting on pressure.Lap 6 would see Russell take control as bob Test who started 8th was into the top 5.All eyes were on last weeks winner Tony Jackson Jr,Rackers and Frank as they were coming from the rear of the field quickly.The yellow waved again on lap 11 for Troy Young and Jack Jones and on the restart,Bob Test was applying pressure to leader Russell with early leader Hudson now coming back to the front.On lap 19,Test made a power move out of turn 4 and grabbed the lead with Hudson Ragland and Rackers completing the current top 5.In the closing laps,Russell tried several times to move around Test,but it was not to be as Test grabs win number 1 and the $900 to win feature event followed closely by Russell,Hudson,Ragland and Curt Rackers in the top 5.
The FactoryStock feature was going to be all robbie Bryant as the second generation racer jumped out early and never looked back in recording his first Midway win of the season Tyson Troutman and point leader Randy Berry followed closely as Chuck Pederson were battling for position.Pederson would head to the pits on lap 14 to change a tire under the yellow.Following Bryant to the stripe were Troutman,Berry,Bobby Ratterree, and Travis Hill at the finish.Early season dominator Tim Brown had problems with the "HotRod Camaro" and retired on lap 5 while moving from 11th to 5th with a busted balljoint.
The Winged SprintCars has Mike Larson grab the early lead with Dustin Arnall right on his back bumper.Larson would continue to lead until point leader Eric Todd charged from 11th to the front on lap 7.front running J.Kinder retired while running 5th on lap 7 as Eric was on cruise control with little brother Clint moving into second place on lap 10.Things would change on lap 16 as leader Eric headed to the pits with motor problems giving the lead-up to Clint as John Rowland was coming to the front quickly.The last 5 laps,Rowland tried several times to move around leader Clint todd,but Clint hung on to capture the victory followed closely by Rowland,Dustin Arnall,Steve Lawrence, and early leader Larson.
The Bombers took to the track 22 strong with Tyler Brown grabbing the early lead as Jack Hamer followed closey and Bill Roberts battling for position.With $100 extra to the winner from MWT Transportation from Lebanon and JP Concrete putting extra for 2 lottery spots,the action was fast and furious with Brown pulling away from the field.On lap 13,Bill Roberts moved around leader Brown and held off a late race challange to grab his 3rd win of the season followed closely by Brown,last weeks winner Dusty Rhoades,Aaron York and Robert White at the finish.The lottery spots went to the 11th finishing place cars of Chad Cromer and 18th place Jack Hamer.Hamer who was running second until a flat tire took him out of contention.Point contenders Mike Piercey,Dale Rodden, and Missy Shaw finished 7th,6th,and 8th as they prepare for doublepoints night next Friday Night.
The Mini-Stock featuer had Chuck Kidwell Sr jump to the early lead as Bryan Deatherage moved into second place and began his run to the front.Point leader Dave Williams and runner-up Tony Moore started there charge to the front after battling together on lap 9 as Kidwell was looking to record his first feature of the season.Williams caught Kidwell on lap 13 and the battle was on as the duo ran side-by-side,but at the checkered flag it was Kidwell recieving the win followed closely by Williams,Bobby Moore who made a late race charge in third,Tony Moore and Deatherage at the finish.
Next Friday Night wil be Double points night at the Midway with Racing in all 6 classes.Winged Sprints,Modifieds,FactoryStocks,SuperStocks,Bombers and Mini-Stocks with Racing at 8PM Sharp.
