CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials have announced that the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks are now available to all racers through the series and three series-approved Distributors. The series has completed a successful R&D Program with the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks that can be used on any type of race car.

There are ten different valving options for the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks that can be bought in a package, or individually as needed. Every $135 Bilstein Spec Shock has been built and sealed at the Bilstein factory to prevent any expensive modifications.

The $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks can be purchased at Race Products, Inc. in Five Points, AL, phone 334-885-6994; S.H.Y. Racing Suspension in Murfreesboro, TN, phone 615-225-6022, and Ethridge Race Parts, Inc. in Tuscaloosa, AL, phone 205-366-9099. The shocks can also be purchased through the series if needed. Contact Tim Sims at 334-864-0805 to place an order. The cost will be the same to the racers at all times.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has been putting the new $135 Bilstein Spec Shock through its paces with a four-driver on-track research and development program during 2012 Touring Division and Weekly Racing Series competition.

Known as “The Bilstein Bandits,” drivers David Earl Gentry of Murfreesboro, TN, Johnny Stokes of Columbus, MS, Michael Blount of Sumrall, MS, and Mark Tice of Avon, MS have had successful results, and have rode on the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks into victory lane on several occasions.

Gentry is a contender for the 2012 $20,000 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division Championship with three wins, 11 top five finishes, 14 top ten finishes, and two fast time awards in 21 starts running on the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks. Gentry has also used the economical shocks to post a Super Late Model win in 2012.

Stokes is fifth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division point standings with five top five finishes, nine top ten finishes, and one fast time award in 21 starts riding on the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks. Stokes also has used the shocks to ring up two wins in NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series 2012 competition.

Blount is currently seventh in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Touring Division point standings and has also competed in NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series action on the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks. Tice has two NeSmith Chevrolet WRS wins in 2012 using the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks.

All four drivers have shared the same comment when they bolted on the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks, and that is, “It’s like having a new race car that handles better than the old one!”

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division will continue its Bilstein Spec Shocks “Series Within A Series” for the 2013 season. The “Series Within A Series” will pay a separate point fund for drivers that commit to use the $135 Bilstein Spec Shock for the entire season.

The $135 Bilstein Spec Shock will also be the exclusive shock that will be used in the 2013 Super Late Model Series that will be sanctioned by Crate Racin’ USA for dirt late models powered by the Chevrolet Performance CT 525 Engine. Crate Racin’ USA is the sanctioning body for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series and Weekly Racing Series.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will also share this economical technology featured in the $135 Bilstein Spec Shocks with other sanctioning bodies that compete with any type of race car.

Sanctioning bodies interested in developing their own program with the $135 Bilstein Spec Shock should contact NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Competition Director Tim Sims at 334-864-0805, or 256-794-4047.
