The "Battle of the Bullring" 2018 begins!

Jimmy carried the Illinois flag in the Race of the States. He finished 9th. Cool race! They had flags for all 13 states represented and Canada! Kris Jackson from Missouri won it.

Jimmy started 4th in the Special "Race of the States" race. Bruce just told me today that Jimmy made a whole lot of changes to the car before that last race and it didn't go so well. But I am impressed that he's doing as well as he is because he just got this "new" car together from scratch and actually got it ready to race with no time to get the kinks out of it. This is the first time he's racing this car. It always amazes me that one little adjustment here or there can make a world of difference on the track.

Tonight they are doing something new at Humboldt that they have not done in previous years. Bruce called it "alphabet racing". I don't think Jimmy likes this format too much. I guess we will see later tonight.

No one has made the big race yet tonight. Robbie and Jimmy are still in the running for it, Bruce thinks. Keep your fingers crossed for our guys!

Tom Rorabacher finished the LCQ 1 in 3rd place. He was running 2nd for a long time but got passed with 1 or 2 laps to go.

Doug Tye crashed into the top wall and got towed off. This is brutal.

Jimmy was running 3rd, got passed by the 211 car, so he was still 4th. Then the POS 5 car hit Jimmy in the rear, causing the two cars in front of Jimmy to mess up and knocked Jimmy into one of them, which one of them then hit the wall with Jimmy along for the ride. Bummer! I got pay-for-view tonight so I could see Jimmy get wrecked on my computer screen! Wow! I'm a little upset right now.

Go Robbie!

Working the track right now for the big B-Mod A-Main race. Robbie Eilers starts 22nd, JC Morton starts next to Robbie on the inside, spot 21st

Robbie Eilers pulls in. Don't know why, no damage and not involved in a wreck 3 cars are now out.

They got home this morning, early but not as early as the doggies had to go outside again. 4:30 a.m. this morning! I think Bruce and Jimmy had a really good time. I'm disappointed in the final result of getting taken out of the E-Main the way he did, but that's racing. Lots of tremendous competition in that final race.
I was kind of surprised at all the high dollar B-Mods in that race. Sort of hard to tell they weren't A-Mods. This is just my opinion, but I can see the crate motor in the B-Mods going away and build-your-own open motors taking over. Too bad. Level playing field in this class could have worked as an alternative to the A-Mods. Now if I ruled the world....

P.S. I miss my puppies already. ;)

a better engine rule at the git-go would have been nice--JMO ----speaking about doggies-ever try to type with one on your lap

Fireball, have you seen Jimmy's doggies? Boon is too big for a lap and Bits is too heavy and strong but he sure tries. Love those pups!

Pretty bad when so many are against crates. For years cost has been killing the sport. Now a $3700 engine that makes it more affordable has so many down on it. When and if it gets to all open motors. I and many others will be done.
