The future of MMP?

dirt tracks 4 ever
Does anyone know if they will reopen in 2013,or is it possible Randy might have financially bit off more than he could chew? I hope it doesn't become another empty promise...This is NOT a bash against anyone so let's not go there,OK?..:)

It sounds like a BASH to me!!!

THANX RICH

People say I'm getting crankier as I get older. That's not it. I just find I enjoy annoying people a lot more now. Especially younger people!!!

Do I need to reword it? I've received a PM saying they are having problems, so I was just wondering?

Moberly is opening back up which is around an hour or so away from there so I'd say that'll hurt them quite a bit next year.

There problem that I hear from someone close to the track is not following through on what they said they was gonna do. They came out the gate with the right plan but had there backs to the wall with a late start in the season and no beer sales. If Randy would get his head out his azz and listen to the one person he had there the place would be better off.imo

How do you figure they came out of the gate with the right plan? For a defunct track to attempt to take a chance to succeed when others couldnt, their first mistake was to offer those inflated payouts. We know that didn't work because they were going to drop a class because of finances and if I remember right it was the late models (huge mistake). The saviour of the track at that point was most drivers agreed to race for the local going rate. I do agree that no beer sales hurt them as we'll.

Offering that kind off payout is coming out the gate with a good plan...the reason it didn't was randy never stuck to Wht he said he was gonna do bottom line. Starting a late season had most guys already tied up in points at other tracks was a reason for no more cars then they had imo

This is what ****s about message boards.Instead of going to a person about a question and ask man to man they put out a "rumor" they heard.Biker if you are that concerned about the track why don't you call Randy and ask him.You would get a better answer

The track can be leased for 2013 so now is the time for all you armchair Promoters to put your money together and try your shot at running MMP. Lower the payout, add your beer sales, and do whatever else you think will help the place stay afloat and see how ya do. Any takers?? Didn't think so!! Everyone just keep Bit**in how ****y the place is and see another one close up!! It's ashamed because it really is a nice track.

I was gonna promote but decided I-55 is the place to be with that ice cold beer and I do mean ice cold beer!!! Best of luck to them tho

Double your money and lease Lake Ozark as well.

I hope they have a second season in 2013. We should be supporting all the tracks we can, not bashing them into the dust. Whatever became of the drag strip they were building on the adjacent property?

The drag strip is by a different group of poeple.

The "good"people around the drag strip project keeping taking the group back to court
ANYTHING they can think of is a reason to go back to court

I talked to Ronnie Moss the guy in charge of the drag strip and they are finally pushing some dirt this week, and barring bad weather before the heart of winter the drag strip will be opening finally in early spring of 2013.

I live 140 miles from there and I've never been there,so ya, it's on my "bucket list"...New members have all the answers..

moberly is a maybe, montgomery a not sure, and the lake is a ghost town, why do tracks in the middle of the state so hard to keep going? i guess being near the higher population areas seem to be the key to keep tracks going, being the east side or west. i don't know its just frustrating .

Why go there anyway? All the fast cars are at I-55 or highland on Saturday night's !!! Fans seem to go where the familiar names are and never seen any out the but once lol
