The solution to the interest problem at Indy is Scott Bloomquist. Like him or hate him if he was racing at Indy you would of turned your TV to the race. Scott wins in any kind of car he runs. It’s not only Scott but also the rest of the GREAT American drivers. How many people from NC and SC would travel to Indy to see Rambo Franklin? How many from the Great IMCA sanction would tune in to see John Louge in an Indy car.
We don’t have to develop drivers they are already developed and have a fan base they can bring with them. This fan base is the thing that built racing in the beginning from the bottom up. And EVERY Major show has abandoned it. When is some sponsor gonna realize that they will not have to promote the driver, the driver will promote them. When that happens we will get to see our local and regional Heros competing at Indy again. And Indy will see its “grassroots” following come back.
