Bradford, OH -This past weekend "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Series into Georgia for a triple header weekend. On Thursday night at Swainsboro Raceway, Wayne set eighth quick time which earned him the outside of the front row in heat four. After racing Justin Rattliff hard into the first turn, "The Sniper" launched into the lead off turn two and would pull away until the car suddenly slowed with a broken driveshaft.

Repairs were made in time for the consolation event, as Wayne would have to come from the last row to a top three finish to advance to the feature. After twelve laps of hard side by side racing "The Sniper" fell shy of making the main event by one spot, crossing the line in fourth position.

The entire team looked to rebound on Friday night at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania for night number two on the weekend tour. A lackluster qualifying effort would set "The Sniper" deep in the starting lineup for his heat race. A sixth place heat finish would leave Wayne to start third in the consolation race. Bart Hartman would manage to hold off all advances as Chinn managed a second place finish. In the feature event, a rough racing surface would take its toll on the Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics / AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race Car, causing the radiator to break, ending the night for the team.

As rain moved in on Saturday afternoon, the racing program at Golden Isles Speedway was pushed back to Sunday afternoon. A long weekend got even longer when the Chinn Motorsports team experienced more misfortune during qualifying as the left rear tire went flat, resulting in no lap being recorded in time trials. Starting from eighth in his heat race, "The Sniper" worked his way up to a fifth place finish, which would put him on the outside front row for the consolation. After leading from wire to wire and winning the twelve lap B main, Chinn transferred to his second Lucas Oil Late Model Series event of the weekend.

Luck didn't seem to change for the team during the feature event, as a steering rack problem would sideline the Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics / AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race Car for the second straight race.

Leaving the Georgia triple header weekend, Wayne Chinn sits 11th in Lucas Oil Late Model Series point standings, just five points outside the top ten, and second in the Quarter Master Rookie of the Year rankings. This coming weekend will find "The Sniper" and Chinn Motorsports at KC Raceway located in Chillicothe, Ohio for the Glockner 50 sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Series.
