Wheatland, MO (May 7th 2007)-The "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", the Lucas Oil Speedway set to Rock and Roll this weekend, May 11th-12th with the Superchip's Diamond Nationals presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts. The best dirt late model pilots from the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series and The O'Reilly MLRA, plus many of the other top late model drivers in the country will do battle for the $25,000 winner's share of a total purse of over $100,000. Open Wheel Modifieds are also on the card for the weekend as they race for $2,000 to win. Advance tickets are available by calling the Speedway Box office at (417)-282-5984 with Visa/MasterCard accepted. The Event Rain date will be Sunday, May 13th.

The $25,000 to win event will also have a $10,000 bonus up for grabs for the winner if they have competed in every 2007 Lucas Oil Dirt Series event through the first four months of this season meaning the winner could pocket $35,000 for their trip to the state of the art racing facility. There are currently 19 drivers that have maintained perfect attendance at all points paying races this year that are eligible for the "Road to Wheatland" bonus money. Those drivers are Billy Moyer, Don O'Neal, Scott James, Terry English, Steve Casebolt, Donnie Moran, Dan Schlieper, Matt Miller, Earl Pearson, Jr., Steve Shaver, Billy Drake, Ray Cook, Scott Bloomquist, Justin Rattliff, Damon Eller, Michael England, Brad Neat, John Mason and Freddy Smith. Just like last year's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Lucas Oil Speedway the cameras of SPEED Channel will be on hand to tape the event for a later broadcast.

In addition to heart pounding Dirt Racing action on Saturday, the Lucas Oil Speedway Midway will see a full slate of activities highlighted by Special Guest appearances by last weekend's O'Reilly Auto Parts Midwest Nationals NHRA Top Fuel Winner Melanie Troxel. In addition, Tommy Johnson Jr., Kenny Bernstein, and Scott Palmer from the National Hot Rod Association will be signing autographs along with Melanie from 5:30pm-7:00pm on Saturday. Scott Palmer will have his Top Fuel Dragster with him as well, as he plans to light the candles on the 8,000 horsepower Nitro Methane powered beast so that Dirt racing fans can experience the thunder of the NHRA. Also on hand will be the AMS Pro Mod's of Cody and Zach Barkledge as well as the NHRA Super Stock/Pro Stock Nostalgia Car of Harry Kalwei. There will be Helicopter rides, Rock Climbing Walls, Figure 8 slot car racing, and Late Model Racing Simulators for your enjoyment. Ronzo the clown will even be twisting balloons for the kids. The Lucas Oil Speedway Two-Seat 56 Chevy racer will be in action this weekend with the fan ride along program.

We haven't forgotten the Mom's as we celebrate Mother Day this weekend as the first 300 Moms through the spectator gates on Saturday will receive a special Mother's Day Gift Bag. There will also be Prizes and Jewelry for the ladies compliments of Zales Outlet Osage Beach.

Action gets under way this Thursday May 10th with open practice for the Super Late models and Open Wheel Modifieds. The Late Models will practice from 6:00pm-8:00pm and the Modifieds will take to the track from 8:00pm-9:00pm. Don't miss the Go-Cart Challenge Thursday between the Lucas Oil Dirt Series Drivers on the Slick Track. Grandstand admission is free and Pit Passes are only $10 for Thursday night. The spectator gates will open at 5:00pm with pit gates open at 8:00am. The Slick Track and Track Treasures Gift shop will also open at 5:00pm on Thursday night.

Friday's program will include Late Model Qualifying, Modified Heat Races, and Modified Last Chance Races. Spectator gates will open at 4:00pm with Hot Laps scheduled to begin at 6:00pm and racing action to follow. Adult admission for Friday's program will be $15, Teens and Seniors are $10, and Kids 12 and under admitted free to the Speedway. Two Day grandstand passes are available for $35 for adults with Teens and Seniors $25. Pit Passes will be $35.

The Saturday Main Event will begin in the morning with Helicopter rides from 10:00am-3:00pm. The spectator concession stand will be serving breakfast from 10:00am-12:00pm. The Midway will be open for your enjoyment beginning at 10:00am as well. Hot Laps will begin at 6:00pm with racing to follow. Racing action for Saturday will include the Late Model Heat Races, Modified Dash, Late Model Last Chance Races, and the Modified and Late Model Features. The weekend will conclude with the presentation of the Zales "Diamond of the Dirt Tracks" ring presentation for the Superchip's Diamond Nationals presented by O'Reilly Autoparts. Adult admission for Saturday will be $25 with Teens and Seniors $20 and Kids 12 and under again free to the speedway.
