2007 Chevrolet Silverado to be given away this weekend after rain forces postponement last Friday.
(Paducah, KY) Much needed rain came through Paducah International Raceway this past Friday forcing the postponement of the Chevrolet Silverado Giveaway for one week. This Friday night, one of the sixty contestants will go home with a beautiful new 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup to be given away by PIR, and Chevy Racing.
As the qualified contestants prepare for the nerve racking experience of wondering if their key will open the padlock to the locked box containing the keys to a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, Paducah International Raceway will be hosting the World Of Outlaw Late Models for the one and only appearance at the track in 2007. Friday September 14th could be a $10,000 payday for traveling drivers like Steve Francis, Shannon Babb, and Chub Frank. Local drivers who have participated at PIR including Randy Sellars, John Tindal, Kevin Cole, Terry English, Dylan Thompson, Joe Mike and many more will be looking to pick up the feature win and the $10,000.
Pit gates will open at 4pm with the grandstands at 5pm. Hot laps will start at approximately 6:30 with qualifying at 7pm with racing starting at about 7:30. Tickets are $25 for adults with kids 12 and under $5. Pit passes are $35 for this special event.
NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge.
