What a tragic ending and we are so sorry to hear about Mark's death. I met Mark one time and he was very pleasant to me. That is how I will always remember him, a very pleasant man! He loved racing and was also pretty darn good at it. We will meet again someday Mark and thanks for the memories.

Mark Steinwagner-Losing a Racing Family Member

I was shocked and very upset to hear about Mark Steinwagner's death. Mark was such a nice man; and he would not hesitate to help anyone out. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Steinwagner family, and especially Diane, who is just as sweet and helpful as Mark was.
We enjoyed racing with Mark and his pit crew at Greenville and Belleville when he still had his modified. Many thanks to him, his wife, and his pit crew for helping us out many times this year when he raced his late model up at Tri-City.
This is just so devastating.........Mark Steinwagner, we will miss you on the track, but you will always be in our hearts.

The veiwing was really nice mark will be baried in his drivers uniform. there was also a really nice memory board with photos of him and of the past race cars. the carimony and barial will start at 9am tomarrow for those interested and again i want go give a very special thanks to everyone in the racing family for beeing so supportive in these troubing times. it just goes to show that even after everything that goes on, on the track noone holds a grudge.

It is still hard to believe this is reality. Just seeing him the other week and not knowing that would be the last time i would see Mark. He was one of the nicest guys at the race track and it will seem very weird not seeing him there at Belleville on Friday. Although he will be looking down on everyone now to help protect them and look over them. I feel really bad that i am not able to make it to the wake or the funeral due to school and work but would like him to know that i am thinking about him and know that he will be truely missed.

God Bless Mark and the entire Steinwagner family..

Tom

I just read the paper and had not heard about Mark. I knew Mark a long time ago, before he drove a car. A very nice guy. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family. So young. Take comfort in knowing that he will never again know the pain that we do on this Earth.

DJ if there is anything that you need just let me know. Don't forget what i talked to you about last night, we need to do it opening night, i know Mark would appreciate it. All of our thoughts and prayers go out to the Steinwagner family. Wahoo and Katie
