Thoughts from i-55 last night!

The racing was great!!!! But I have to agree, they need to run the pro-4's feature last. The furthest they have to drive home is about an hour when the Late models need to head North for Lincoln.

The only really thing that I saw wrong was the bad starts. The Late models knew how to hold their line but the other classes were terrible. Doesn't the flagman see that? Walsh had a heat race given to him. I was hoping to see a good race with him and Griffaw.

Also, I have a question, why do they put the good cars up front during the sportmans class and sometimes the modifieds? What is the point of that? Do people really know how the races would be if they would invert the field? They would be AWESOME!!! So what is the reason?

Otherwise I enjoyed my $25 worth.

As far as walsh given the race, it isn't his fault the pole sitter doesn't take off when the green flag goes in the air. That's just called smart racing. If you remeber he wasn't the only one that took off, but the difference was that he was on the bottom and had an open lane. Again just smart racing on his part.

CT_00::: I believe it Takes One to Know One!!!! You missed the whole Point---Special Events should be Run on a Week Night--Not on the Regular Racers Night!!!I know you have NO Investment in Racing other than a Ticket to get in.... Regular Weekly Racers should have a Chance to Race!!! Thats My Point...

They got to race, but they don't just deserve an automatic spot in the show. You do a show like that and see if Mars, Birky, Moyer, Babb, etc.... would be there. They wouldn't, and a promotor wouldn't be dumb enough to try something like that. Plus I know it paid $150 to be in the B-main, thats what it pays to start an A normally if i'm not mistaken. Most of the locals probably took home the same pay, or better if they made the show.

it Takes One to Know One!!!! BAAAAHAHAHA!!!! Good Come back!! I haven't heard that since like the 3rd grade!! I have no idea who you are or how old you are but SERIOUSLY?? Who says that?

Now that you made your point clear I'm still going with you're an idiot! Just my opinion and what looks to be everyone elses opinion that read your first post on this thread.

You are right about 1 thing though...All that I do personally invest in racing is my ticket in the stands....Without guys like me, and there are thousands of them in this area, there probably wouldn't be as many tracks in this area to go watch these great weekly shows and the few "big shows" we have a year. Be thankful we have all of these great tracks in this area to go watch these competitors compete.

Thanks,
Chris Timmermann

sure then the other classes would have complained that they didnt have enough time to change their cars for the feature

hey dixon fan are you for real or are you nut's so if i understand you correctly at the summer national's sat. night if the show would have went the way you wanted it to moyer, moyer jr, babb, unzicker, wendell wallace birkoffer, jimmy mars, scott james.jason feger, and dennis erb start in the back of the feature I DON"T THINK SO!!!

First the track was awesome what little work they did to it before the feature was perfect. When i saw the tractors i thought it was gonna be a long night but i think when they saw what Jeep did in the B main they realized what they had and left well enough alone. Not liking the price for the amount of racing you get to see is like going to the buffet and complaining your not full when you leave.

How were your seats ? Rustymkl2 ? And I remember the last big race they had at pevely they ran the LM's 1st and lots of people complained because the LM drivers were already gone when they got out to the outer pits ! Looks like a lose lose situation ! :(

Well i stuck Big and Little evil there so i wouldn't get in trouble if anything happened to them. But then put mine on Pastamans seats not really thinking about it but i was drinking since 10 so i used that as my reason for the memory loss. All in all a good day and night and morning was had by all you only missed some brats, ribs and a deer tenderloin wrapped in bacon so you didnt miss much.

Sounds yummy ! Make sure to let me know when momma makes the jalupas ! They are the best !
Sure throw the evils out to the lions lol ! I hope Pastaman kept you in line :) that's what he does to me keeps me in line ! That and keeps me straight up when racing gets dicey and I lean back like I am the one fixin to get hit LOL !! You were in good company in that section ! : )

The reason they don't do that is because there would be so much carnage. Well at least in the Sportsmen division. Cuz when you are a good car starting in the back, some of those slower guys won't want to give up their spot and block and do whatever they can, or if you pass them and they are behind you, they may punt you for let's say... hmmm 10th place and they get the spot and you get put to the back because you are not an Allied car. And if you would do that with the travelling Late Model guys, chances are they won't show up at the race track. JMO

We worked our tails off after the heat to get the car ready for the feature and I still had a great time. Especially afterwards. I love the story telling that goes on afterwards! There was some really good racing going on mid-pack in the Late Models and Just to see Feger's crew bust their butts after Babb hit them was awesome! Great racing in that division!

Also the mods semi and pro 4 feature were ran between the lm c and lm b so to give the guys plenty of time to adjust on the cars. There was nothing wrong with the racing saturday night. Just goes to show when threre is nothing to complain about someone will grasp for straws.

It's all luck of the draw at the pit shack. Anyone can start anywhere in the heats. As far as the feature goes depends on passing points, and of course the dice roll for the top 6 in passing points. I agree, it sux knowing who most likely will win as soon as they line up. But that's how it is. It's not like the old days when the high point guys started in the back. Racing is too store bought and competitive for that.

I still don't agree with punishing a driver for causing a spin if you don't give the victim thier spot back. That is the biggest downfall to Allied Officials right now, it actually caused an extra yellow in the modified feature when the 20 waited for the 24 to pass him so he could "pay him back". The 28 of Tyson Gegg was sent to the rear of the Sportsman semi for getting out of shape and causing the 55 of Keller to spin. They didn't even touch! If your gonna call that then at least give Keller his spot back. I have been going to races since I was 6 months old and its sad that pi$$ poor officiating is making me think about finding better things to do with my time. I used to defend Allied, not anymore Ralphie needs glasses!
