Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (June 17, 2008) – Teams planning on taking in Friday night's O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series event at Iowa's Knoxville Raceway have the opportunity to get in a few extra laps on Thursday night when the track hosts an open practice session.
Knoxville Raceway will host an open practice session on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Sprint Cars competing over the course of the weekend as well as Midgets on hand for the weekend taking to the ½-mile clay oval for some test laps.
The O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series kicks off its three-race Northern Swing on Friday night at Knoxville Raceway before moving on to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD, on Tuesday night, June 24, and then to Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD, on Saturday night, June 28.
The ASCS Midwest Region joins forces with the ASCoT National series Friday night at Knoxville Raceway, while the ASCS Northern Plains Regional shoes join in on the pair of South Dakota events.
