FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (April 30, 2005) Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown put on a dominating performance Saturday night as he drove his #32 sprint from the pole to victory lane during the feature event.
"The track was a fast one and held up great," said promoter Cory Franklin. "Timmy was running great and really put on a good show."
Jay Landolt stayed in hot pursuit of Montgomery but was never able to make the pass. He settled for second place with Jason Keith third, Joey Montgomery (who started 15th) finished in fourth place with Daniel Adler (who started 16th) finishing fifth. They were followed by Jerrod Hull, Jeremy Standridge, Bob Thoman, Jason Hunt and Steve Short.
Timmy Montgomery won the first heat race with Gary Altig second and Jeremy Standridge third. Koey Weyant wont he second heat with Keith second and Keith Burch third. Kenny Hambrick won the third heat with Tommy Worley Jr. second and Derek O'Dell third. Landolt won the fourth heat with Camron Dodson second and Kent Buckley third. Timmy Montgomery won the trophy dash with Weyant second and Dodson third. Hunt won the "B" main with Short second and Thoman third. A total of 31 sprints were on hand. (Note: The All-Star Circuit of Champions were scheduled to race, but they cancelled due to the threat of rain and cold temperatures).
Mike Francis of Fredericktown drove his #1 Modified to the victory in the feature with Kenny Kennedy taking second place, John Bohn third, Jeremy Greenwalt fourth and Brent Thompson fifth. They were followed by Danny Resinger, Tommy Worley Sr., Mike Crader, Lou Driemeier and Bob Waterhouse.
Francis won the first heat with Kennedy second and Pete Koenig third. Alan Conner won the second heat with Greenwalt second and Kasey Burch third. Worley won the third heat with Bohn second and Resinger third. Thompson won the "B" main with Crader second and Bob Long third.
In the Sportsmen class, Kasey Nations of Park Hills picked up the checkered flag in the feature with Kevin Mosier second, Leonard Betsch third, Matt Eaton fourth and Kenny Harris fifth. They were followed by Doug Savage, Randy Forster, Kyle Stolzer, Donnie Mosier and Bruce Boren. Kevin Mosier won the first heat with Betsch second and Stolzer third. Nations won the second heat with Savage second and Eaton third.
In the 600cc Multi class, Derek King captured his second feature win of the season by holding off Kara King for the victory. Andy Moss settled for third with Tyler Robbins fourth and Casey Barnhouse fifth. They were followed by Ryan Crisswell, Rodney Williams, Jeremy Boyer, Tom Dickerman and Jacob Patt. Kara King won the first heat with Robbins second and Chris Massey third. Moss won the second heat with Barnhouse second and Joey Boyd third. Derek King won the third heat with Jake Bess second and Jimmy Bridgeman third. Tommy Boyd won the "B" main with Crisswell second and Brad Greer third.
In the Pure Street class, Mark Todd was the feature winner with Mike Abney second, Bill Skaggs third, Derek Shipman fourth and Theran Pearl fifth. They were followed by Derek Lee, Travis Goodman, Chris Webb, Jason Mueller and Allen King. Abney won the first heat with Pearl second and Shipman third. Chris Boyd won the second heat with Todd second and Skaggs third.
