Thanks for all the interest and Great comments we have been recieving lately. There is no need to put anyone down here with negative comments. This is purely a negotiation between me and Belle-Clair Fairgrounds inc. Owning and running a racetrack in todays economic times is a trying adventure. Contracts are complex and need to work for both parties. We all want racing in 2013 and i believe an agreement will come very soon.
I haven't put out a schedule other than announcing a few special dates because i don't feel comfortable doing so until a final agreement is reached. Negotiations are just that and can break down at any time.
Bear with us as we will do our best to continue to take Belle-Clair to the next level.

Thanks and where would i find this partial schedule. Racing at BC the friday night before the opening big show at pevely?
 
Looks like those of you who thought you knew what you was talking about as far as the track going to run for sure 100% no doubt in your mind was WRONG and the ones who said it may not happen was right! You see the racing community is just like the trucking industry every body claims to know everything but yet dont know diddly crap! Any way Don keep up the good work i have confidence that you will do whats in the best interest of the racers and fans just dont let them beat you down as i know first hand how negotiations on contracts go as i deal with them on a daily basis 5-6 days a week. Good luck Don.

I never heard don say they were running for sure and I didn't say they were closing . Just posted what the fair board said .
 
I don't believe anyone said for sure that it was 100% running. Those of us who were saying "yes" where stating that there were positive signs showing they were more than likely going to run. So do us a favor and keep your comments to yourself. I can assure you all of us who are commenting on this topic want racing in Belleville so it was just us being optimistic due to the facts that were put out prior nothing more.
 
Good luck on getting this done. Hope fair board sees how good you and your crew have been for the place. Lots of luck and hope we all get to see good racing there this year!!
 
Heard they are turning the track into a giant kitty litter box. Only one race this year. The Cat Turd 50!
 
Guess some of you took what i said out of context or didn't fully read and comprehend what i said! Never once did i say i didn't want the track to run! In fact i want it to run this year as i do plan on bringing my car here and running so not real sure where that came from. As far as the remark about "keeping my comments to myself" i believe this is a public forum and i just like you have a right to post a comment on here if i feel the need to. But seriously lets stick to the topic here. Some was saying that this rumor they was hearing couldn't be true because if it was Belle Clair wouldn't have put a schedule out. Well what i was stating was those that posted those comments really didn't have a clue what they was talking about and the ones who was saying they had heard it was a possibility they wouldn't run was correct. So i guess those that finally got it put right in front of their faces in black and white have nothing to say now that they have beee proving wrong! Now that those have been proven wrong they want to get on here and try to still be know it alls. Simply amazing!

Why must you be so mean spirited with your negative comments? Like I've said before, these track owners you constantly degrade should turn you away at the front gate.

Dirtboy you should have come to Belleville and watched some of the racing there! About 2 years ago i said i wouldnt go back because the 2 times i went the racing wasnt very good but a couple friends talked me into going again and in all honesty im glad i did because here lately Belleville has had some of the best racing in the area. Not saying Tri City or Highland hasnt had good racing but some of the things i have seen lately at Belle Vegas lately! WOW! But now that your no longer welcome i guess youll never know. Dang it boy! Any way keep up the good work Don your trying your best to make racing fun for the fans and racers. Good luck with your contract negotiations.

It is always interesting to read the posts where negativity is the common theme. Dirtboy's contestant anti-tribe at Belle-Clare Speedway is really counter productive for his beloved T-city. If one were to stand back an take to account all the vile comments and behavior made by this individual, most would think, I wouldn't want to go to a place where this person is present. The Gundakers must shutter that Dirtboy often acts as a PR spokesman for their track. If I was a track owner I would not want him anywhere near my track. Race tracks to the general public have a unjustified criticism when it comes to spectators that frequent them as blood thirsty, drunk, ****-kickers. Dirtboy is a poster child for that image.

While they do have a very good show at Tri-City, the racing is better at Pevely and it is not even close. (No disrespect to Tri-City)
