I see…. That may just work out for ya a little better.

What broke in the rear-end? I thought it just pulled out the LR axel.

Bt the way… Where do you race?

we pulled the rearend out and it was completly bowed...the rearend was changed with a disc brake set-up and 4-11 gears and it is straight... the front spring was changed to 1100 lbs..

You need to get your caster/camber and tow out checked and set right. It is hard to drive a car that you have to fight all of the time and front end set up is pretty important to handling.

The way we set tow out. Get both right and left tie rods the SAME LENGTH. Set the tow out 1/4 out. set it off of the right front tie rod.

Dont try to eye ball this stuff get a couple tapes and a caster camber gauge or find someone with the tools and know how to help you set your car up.

I dont know for sure what type car you have. But here is the way we ran our sportsman. 2800 lb car Metric chassis springs. LF 800 RF 1000 LR 225 RR 250

Wheel off set's front end LF 3" RF 2" LR 3" RR 3"

Shocks would start with 76's on front and 95's on the rear.

For the super street/bomber type Metric chassis weight was 3,000 lb.

Springs up front LF 900 RF 1050-1100 Also used 800-1000 up front in the bomber

And in the rear LR 250 RR 275 the wheel off set's were the same for both cars

1" stagger in front around 2" in the rear more or less as the track needed.

Get your car on a set of scales and make sure you have 50% + rear weight we would try for around 53 % rear 52 % left. and a cross weight around 50.0-51%

Worked well for us dont know if it will be any help to you or not.

need more info on your car to make any suggs but i'd say mod15s set up will get you pretty close start with that and see what you think. On the tow out use the adjusting sleeves thats y their there, you don't have to remove the tie rod every time good luck and remember it's all about having FUN don't take it so seriously as to take away the fun

Cottagehills, thats a total of 1/4 or 3/8 toe out across the whole front not per wheel. The more toe out the quicker the turn in, but the more speed you scuff off plowing down the straight aways. Thats why on short tracks 3/8 toe out won't hurt as much as it would on a longer track. I personally run 1/4 toe out on my #52 RAMS S-10 mini stock (Metric Chassis) @ both DRR 1/6ml. track & MCS 1/4ml. track it seems to be the best over all setting for me. Also if you get into some ruff racing, bumbing and rubbing with the front tires you will need to recheck you setting for the next time out. Good luck to you & most of all enjoy, not everyone is blessed enough to race anything.
