Ford, Thomas age 69 of St. Charles, MO formerly of Centralia, IL passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at New Florence Nursing and Care in New Florence, MO. Tom was born on December 25, 1946 in Centralia, the son of Virgil and Janet (Langenfeld) Ford. Tom is survived by two sons, Matthew Ford and wife, Michelle of Hazelwood, MO and Kevin Ford and wife, Chris of St. Peters, MO; two daughters, Lindsay Lombardo and husband, Phillip of Florissant, MO, Tracy Filanda of O'Fallon, MO; one brother, Phil Ford of St. Charles, MO; one sister, Susan Beard of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren, Zack Filanda, Rebecca Filanda, and Tyler Filanda, Kyle Ford, Colin Ford and Julian Lombardo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Janet. Tom served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1964. He then began working as a fork lift driver for Marquette Tool and Die and retired in 2010 after 47 years of employment. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in St. Charles, MO. Tom was an avid auto racing fan and participated in Midget Auto Racing through the St. Louis Auto Racing Association in the local area with his dad, brother, and nephews. He was a loving father and devoted family man. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas Ford will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at SutherlandGarnier Funeral Home in Centralia at 11:00 a.m. with Father Kenneth Siefert officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Centralia, with Military Rites being accorded by the American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 2055. Friends may call at SutherlandGarnier Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Missouri Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
