COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (July 1) – Another $500 has been added to the winner’s share of CJ Speedway’s Firecracker 25 feature for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, putting first place money at $1,500 for the Friday, July 2 special.
The draw/redraw show pays a minimum of $50 to start. Non-qualifiers get $35 and there is no registration fee. All applicable IMCA points will be awarded.
The feature will be 25 laps and a fireworks show follows the final checkered flag of the evening. Sponsors are Wapello Auto Parts and now Kurt’s Garage, also of Wapello.
Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors $6 for students ages 11-17 and kids 10 and under get in free when accompanying a paid adult.
