Tracks and Drivers

We know that our area tracks are in need of higher fan counts. We think that we can help. Our idea is simple, get more people involved in racing. Local racing is not a profesion, it is a hobby. Local drivers are spending money on engines as if they made a living racing. Bombers and Street Stock drivers are spending $8,000 to $12,000 to run up front while steel blocks and modifieds are spending $12,000 to $25,000. We lower the cost of racing by lowering the cost of the engines. It is a lot easier to get a sponsor for a
$3,000 motoer than for a high dollar motor. A driver can afford to keep his car looking good for the sponsors if they are not spending every nickle they get their hands on in the engine department. We can get a lot more drivers that can afford $3,000 than can afford $12,000+ motors. More drivers mean higher car counts for the tracks, more drivers bring family, friends, and coworkers to the track to watch "their driver", which raises fan count, more fans means the tracks will stay open and we will have a place to race.
We can save our local tracks if we all work together to improve our great sport. Fastrak uses goodlooking late model cars with GM sealed engines that cost $3,000 to $5,000 Each. We make running a late model team cheaper than running a streetstock or modified. A driver can get a lot of "seat time" in a late model without breaking the bank.

Seems like a good alternative you have here.

The sad fact is, racers have only themselves to blame for the outrageous money they spend. They don't have to do it. For every dollar the payouts have increased on the local level in the last 15 or more years, the cost has risen $1000.

Local racing is not a profesion, it is a hobby.
I couldn't agree with you more on that statement. Leave the high dollar racing to the professionals.

Stay in the streets stocks then Leave us latemodels alone!!!!
and It is much moer than some HOBBY to most of us latemodel Drivers and owners.
