Train Derailment
A coal train left the tracks above Interstate 57 one mile south of the Benton exit . Traffic on both north and southbound lanes are blocked. I-dot officials ore on the scene surveying the damage. People should use alternate routes. Northbound traffic is being detoured at the West Frankfort exit and Southbound traffic is being diverted at the Ina exit. Canadian National Railway spokesman Ian Thomson says it's unclear what made the cars go off the tracks. Thomson says a truck driver received a minor injury in the accident and no one on the train was hurt. However, I-dot officials say there are no injuries.
