Whats the deal with having to run 5 of 6 events to get points money? I think this is a crock of sh-t and you've ran off a dam good team thats been kicking azz all year.

thats a bummer hes fun to watch..with the restacking of points it makes sense that you shouldnt be able to miss, but its tough when you lose a driver like Long.

Im a fan of Long but here is why they did what they did. First off..dont nail me to the cross as i didnt make the rules. But......in the beginning everyone was notified they had to run the last races to make money. Why?? When they lock the field.......guy who just missed making the so called chase would not be too happy if the guy who just made the chase quit or decided to run elsewhere. Everyone was told this......im just a seat in the stands and i even knew that. Do i agree with it??That is another story. But i can see why they did what they did. The problem of blowing all their motors up close to the end of the year and not having the funds to build another is a story being repeated just about every year. Harrison had that problem 1 year as well. Those guys are pulling those expensive motors so hard and for so long..........thats going to happen. Plus with the economy and such......not good. Class is going to kill itself if some people dont step up and demand the motor rules to be put into perspective. Been said for years but its getting really bad. Crates was suposed to be an answer but...........there is another thread to talk about that as well. When i raced.....my motor lasted 7 years. Wasnt a front class runner but i also didnt cry when she finally went bang. Kind of my fault anyway as the driveshaft broke and i wound it up.......next week she went poof. So there are ways to make motors last but until the money bags quit the spending sprees its not going to stop.

I don't see what the big deal is....if you miss several chase races your going to finish last or close to it as far as the top ten. How much can it possibly pay for 7-10 in the modifieds?
