This is the deal

For the guy that keeps complaing about the 1/2 mile if you are scared of it then i guess ur best bet is to go somewhere else cause a REAL RACER will race anyday any time that there is a race so if it is ur hobby then keep it that away cause there is a heck of alot more real RACE CAR DRIVERS AND FANS THEN there is people just doing it for a hobby.THANKS FOR GETTING THE JOINT REV AND PUT THE UMP LATES AND MODS ON THE HALF AND GETTTT R DONE.!!!!!!!!!!

WE NEED TO KNOW THE RULES KEVIN,,,dont leave us habging please....

Redoing The 1/4 Mile Into A 3/8 Mile Would Lose The Woo Outlaws Show And Mabey The Other Latemodel Shows, Probably Not The Latemodels But The Woo For Sure. I Think It Would Be Cool To Run The Half Mile With A More Compettitive Class Of Cars Like Mods And Ump Latemodels.. It Sould Be An Awsome Year No Matter What Happens. Any Word On Tricity Going To Run Ump Pure Stocks??? Just Wondering As I Haven't Heard That They Are.

Nobody ever knows rules before December !!!! And the announcement says no changes except for Sundays........
Highland, Fayette county and Godfrey have already had meetings and announced rules, and it is not even Thanksgiving yet. Of course, they didn't just change hands either, so the situation is a little more cut and dried for them. But, if you're whole season was planned on racing TCS on sat nights under the old management, this leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions.

Rudy Pu,

Why would redoing the 1/4 mile lose the World of Outlaws shows??

I'd ask the same question. Seems that WoO runs several events in the season on 1/4 mile ovals. Not to mention that the WoO currently runs on the 1/2 and a lot of people complain about a one groove scenario and "humps" on the front straight. My suggestion of going to a smaller 3/8 or even 4/10 (which isn't much smaller than the current 1/2 or 5/8 depending on who you talk to) wouldn't be much of a reduction in size and still allows for great racing on a good size track. Not to mention there could be a higher degree of banking on a new configuation.

Otherwise, I believe that widening the 1/2 mile and making the 1/4 a completely different track that doesn't share the front straight would be a good idea. Just push the 1/4 into the infield of the 1/2 a little and widen the turns on the half. This would help eliminate the "humps" on the front straight of the 1/2 and shorten it at the same time by bringing in the radius of the turns.

I know, I'm dreaming but that's what every great thing starts out as.

You guys are dreaming. Think about it. You just shelled out for a track, and now everyone and their brother wants you to completely revamp the place, change the configuration, move the tower, add lights, pave the half, pave the pits, gold taps and new tile in the bathrooms, jacuzzi's, air conditioned driver's lounge, indoor grandstands, video monitors on the infield, etc...

Ok, maybe I am exxagerating a little here, but if I just bought the place, I would figure I just spent enough money on the endeavour, now it had better make me some money before it gets any more of my cash put into it.

Think about it.

Maybe you missed this comment that I made. I stress the "dreaming" this time so you understand that I realize this is not possible. But it sure would be nice! LOL!

Early indications are that there will be no changes in the classes or the weekly show at all.
I'M STARTING TO THINK THIS WOULD BE THE BEST BET. THIS WAS THE ONLY TRACK THAT COULD RIVAL I55 AS FAR AS CAR COUNT GOES AROUND HERE. WHY MESS WITH IT NOW THAT THE PLACE IS ACTUALLY WORTH GOING TO.

THE LIGHTING DOES S U C THOUGH VERY BAD LIKE!
