RR Tire Rule:
Hoosier L/M20 or L/M40 only!
The tire you choose to Hotlap/Qualify on will be the same tire used for the rest of the evenings events,
Heat Race, Dash, Semi & Feature. This tire will be marked after qualifying.
If you have a flat you will be able to change that tire but you will go to the tail of your next scheduled event.

You will NOT be allowed to change compounds, if you have a flat and you are running a 20 you will replace it with a 20!

It also so put's a little bit of thought into it as well!

By the way we have bought a "Sniffer" for the 2015 Season!

Thanks, Kevin

Dash will be where the issues arise. Drivers will complain they have an extra 8 laps on their tires.. Also, if they get a flat in the dash, they will not like going to the back of the feature (since it is an additional race a lot of the other cars aren't in).

Good rule. Guys always seem to race a little cleaner when they pay a penalty for blowing a tire. Now just make it that everyone involved in a yellow, whether instigator or victim, goes to the back and you've got the best cost cutting/keep the show moving rule package of any track in the area.

Bottom line is all the torn up stuff and blown tires are the biggest unnecessary expense in racing and the biggest time waster all night is yellows.

This only hurts the driver who gets a RR flat, doesn"t cut cost. Put everyone on the same RR tire 30 or 40 and go race.Tri-City is the PREMIER track in this area, but there are. to many scenerios to the flat tire rule,

If your in the dash. Put a new RR on before. Then win the dash. Start feature up front with 6 or 8 laps on the tire.

Really? How many flats occur in the dash? If it happens in the heat your screwed anyway. Now who's being negative?

This is a great rule to reduce costs. Nothing is perfect but it's a damn sight better than the current tire deal.

I completely agree. I'd like to see the reactions of the drivers who get put to the rear of the feature for getting a flat in the dash. If you're going to run this type of tire rule, you may as well use passing points and get rid of the dash.

It shouldn't be Kevin's responsibility hound. Drivers pay the sanctioning body to make the rules. Good job Kevin though for the change though!

whats a sniffer???I know what a sniveler is----a racer that cries because he or she feels they are special and should be exempt from the posted rules-----JMO

Same should go wth mods. Same tires all night and flat tire rule. Make same rules for The premier classes.

Kevin has changed it so if you get a flat in the dash, you only go behind the cars in the dash at the start of the feature and not the tail of the feature..

Which opens the can of worms...would it be advantageous to change your tire and start 6th (or 8th...however many start the dash) with a fresh RR? I'm not knocking what they're trying to do, just trying to think through all of the scenarios.

I can see guys who start the dash 5th on back laying off the throttle, pulling in or not even running the dash and keeping the tires fresher and just start 5th or 6th or whatever in the feature. You're only chasing the same guys anyway, let them run hard in the dash, burn some tire up and give you a little better shot at them in the feature. Kind of like, I can get them now, or I can let them burn their tires up some and go after them later with slightly fresher tires and maybe have an advantage then.

Kind of interesting scenario to think over. I think some of the front runners could say better how 6-8 laps more on tires impacts performance over the course of the feature. Might be they could care less if its dry slick anyway.

I get what they are trying to do, and think its at least worth a try. My question is...how are they going to police it!
