Tri-City Speedway Results 6/10/11

wow these ss guys have been putting on a hell of a show this year!mods, now there might be a little talk at the dinner table with dad and son tomorrow lol..good night all and all.cant wait for next week.

Every weekly racer should be running a crate. 604's for the lates 602's for the mods. Leave the $20,000 mod motors and $20-$40,000 late model motors for the touring pro's. Police them and save our sport.

Well said Corey. Start of the year........everyone had new motors......new tires....new bodies.....ect. Now motors wearing.............tires need replaced............repairs need done and it all costs $$$$$$'s. If nothing is done........those 2 series will be hurting in years to come. Part of the reason is the motors are wayyyyyyyyyyyy out of hand. Its not the chassis or tires........its the motors.

Totally agree with the Crates being a good idea. If you compare to what the second place finisher in the UMP Late Models last night at Tri-City has in his chasis, motor, shocks etc. its the same as what a lot of guys have in one of there motors. Some little guys can make things work with a lot less. Think what some of these guys can do if they had the high $ equipment!!!

The motors arent the problem its the people that setup and drive there cars in my opinion. If you cant setup a car and drive it then that 20.000k motor isnt worth 2cents. We run a 500hp sbc against much bigger motors and have no problem running with them. Not trying to start anything cause were a fairly low budget team ourselves but having a 700hp motor doesnt mean your gonna win. :D

one other problem

High dollar shock packages.how much would it cost to have the shocks that Brian Shirley runs?If a local racer shows up with them and can drive he would be hard to beat.
