Tri City Speedway roy award in the mods

I just don't remember him racing more than once here or once there every now and then over the years. I do not recall him racing very much at all over all the years I've been going to races.
 
Not trying to take anything away from his driving...the guy put on a good show saturday night at i-55 with the three time ump champ!!! Mike even used him up a little. But racing here and there over the years is not rookie status to me.seets aint never been on the track before this year in a car and thats what a rookie is jmo.....

I agree with you 100%,Either way congrats to little johnny for a heck of a first year.I cant wait to watch you improve over the years.Keep up the good work buddy.Rick Plumb
 
im pretty sure, if anybody should have a problem with this it should be the guy racing with him not u, i ran a modified about 10 times this year and last year but im not singing up till next year due to me not being able to run cuz of work, but some body has to cry about it i guess.. And Jimmy D, u dont need to tell any more facts because the people in the stands no it all remember..
 
Kyle sorry you feel that way but if it happened to you it would be a different story now wouldn't it. With that many races under you belt how do you even figure you'll be eligible for ROY? It's guys like you that start these kinds of mess cause you wanna race here and there over the years then decide your ready to sigh up for it Roy. Well it don't work like that sorry. If you beat someone next year and I find you raced over the limit we will be right back here arguing why you shouldn't get it.JMO
 
I do c were u r comming from, but what do u think these guys runnin for rookie of the year n woo, and Lucas oil do they race a lot till they feel ready to compete, and u seen me run I'm not ready yet lol
 
Yes you are right Kyle I don't like to see it that why but hell them young guys that go in there for Roy in the woo and Lucas oil series are still a rookie to the series and and not so much the class..
 
I got word we should know something on this by next week... I hope they get this right !!!!
 
If I'm not mistaken Joe Walsh won the modified title at lebanonI-44 speedway at age 16. I remember Joe in a late model battling the likes of Larry Phillips, Bert cheatham, Ken Dickinson, Tim swearingin, Steve Holt, Tim gittemeier, and Roy Chism.

Joe may qualify for rookie of the year. And if he does he deserves the award. But he is by far not a rookie
 
So Randy Korte say hell I'm gonna drop down next year and run for ROY award in the Street Stock class... Is this fair? Hell know it ain't...is it a legal thing to do by the rules? Nope !!!! Same goes for any other class. You can not drop down in class nor can you compete in the class for years and decide hell I'm gonna say I'm a rookie and go for the title !!! Fair is Fair and he should come on here and say he ain't know rookie and man up. The young man Seets drove his butt off this year with way less money,never been in a car and don't need over looked cause some guy who helped Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader plus drove for years says he is a rookie wants the title. Come on just man up !!!!!!!
 
Man this is a tuff one, but by the rules he did nothing wrong and I believe he can't be penalized, only way I can say it would be right is to let little John run next year and then chang the rule for next year cuz u can't take it away from Walsh, rules r rules he didn't brake any rule he just played it smart and waited tell he could run a full season, and I don't know about u but after watching his a time or two last year I didn't think the guy would run like he did, so u can give John the Roy and give joe and a most improved driver award, but u can't leave the guy out to dry.
 
If I'm not mistaken, the only requirement to run for RoY is to be the first year in that class and to run over half the season. I race a sportsmen at Belleville, my first year in it, finished 6th in points. Dennis Ponder has been a street stock track champion there how many times, moved up to a sportsman and finished 3rd in points, but I talked to him Friday and he said he's running for RoY there in the sportsman. You don't always understand the rules but sometimes you have to accept them.
 
And I talked to Tammy a year back when I first got a modified and talked to her about running for rookie of the year and she told me u can't run more then 50% of the races the past year and can't have signed up for track points, and I have followed those rules that's y I'm am waiting till next year, cuz I'm young and pay for all my stuff myself and knew I couldn't race a lot and u have to run more the 50% of the races to get awards so I would have screwed myself of maybe running for one, and Walsh worked last year for ken shrader and couldn't run a full season, or even half
 
Joey raced asphalt late models in the Artgo Racing Series I know this cause he raced against us (Steve Shive) at Bolivar, Lakeside, I44 and a few other tracks.
 
First off yes Joey worked for Schrader not Wallace yes he raced asphalt so what are you not allowed to race anything? I know seets has raced before and I guarantee you seets raced off of a way bigger budget then Joey!!! No disrespect to seets I'm sure he's worthy but so is Joey he worked and drove his *** off so I say congrats to Joey you deserve the award.

First of all i dont know where you get your info at,because if joey raced on a smaller budget than seets there is no way he could of even ran a modified.Just to set the record strait johnnys car is a 1994 predator chassis 3 link. I do believe the car is strait however compared to what he is running against its junk.So now let me guarantee you joey has more money in his motor than johnny has in his whole operation.I seriously doubt joey is running junk or anything close to it,And that is great im happy for him.And no johnny has never raced anything before this year except for a 4 wheeler in the back yard. must be parts gal cause she came out the gate like poor ol joey ain't never raced before.
 
Well I know joey's dad built his motor and like I said earlier I'm not taking anything away from seets but Joey deserves it as well!
