Tri-City Track conditions!!!!

Oh, and lets not forget the job that Kiefer was doing before his tires went away. He proved he's got what it takes to run with the big guys. Just needs to tweak that tire selection a bit and then stay calm when the setup starts to fade. Great job to all of the local guys that mixed it with the best the Country has to offer.

thats kinda silly to complain about a track being rough, and saying its the worst track you have ever seen because of it. i am sure track owners make the tracks rough on purpose.

If drivers are racing just for the money then I think they're in it for the wrong reason.

Racing is how he pays the bills. When you do it for a living you have to race for the money. I don't go to work because I love it, I go so I get my paycheck each week.

Just a couple of comments...

1. If the "only" reason he is racing is for the money he chose the wrong sport. His fans are what make him money buying his merchandise. Enough of this its a dumb topic.

2. The track was rough but "the roughest track I have ever seen"??? I remember a time at I55 when Kenny Schrader and Ray decided to call off the Modified racing after the WoO feature because the track had ruts in it 2+ feet deep. Alot of drivers were mad, but I think it was the right call. That track was actually dangerous and someone would have probably got killed.

The track conditions may not have been the best but we were all racing on the same track. JUST GOOD OLE DIRT RACING !!! Congrats to Moyer! AWESOME JOB!!!!!

Yes The Corners Were Rough, But I Wasn't Suprised. If They Got Half The Rain Thursday At The Track As I Did At My House, I'm Suprised It Wasn't Rougher Than It Was.

i want to second that great run by Kiefer. I was simply shocked! way to go kiefer and good luck the rest of 07. As far as bloomer goes, i really went to tri-city to see bloomer race. I never really get the chance to see him race so i was alittle disappointed when he pulled off but its not really our position to judge. there was still 30 other great latemodels to watch. Everytime i talk to bloomer he is always great to me. Moyer on the other hand, not so nice. Moyer kinda acts like his #### dont stink and we werent worth his time. oh well some people have other opinions i guess.

Q, just a correction. Keifer's tires did not go away. One of the shackles that holds the spring and shock in place came loose, and caused a serious handling issue. That was from their crew guys, after Saturday night.

Also, being that he has "Full Pull" (Babb's 2005 Summernationals car), along with a Pro-Power and a Jay Dickens, yeah, he's got the skill AND equipment to run with front runners. Bad luck struck Friday night.

On another note: I know that they did what they could with the track, but if Kevin Gundaker is trying to build it into a first class facility, why do they have only a water truck, sheep's foot and tiller to do track work with? Why doesn't he bring in a big roller like they have at Pevely?

I could careless if that long haired monster doesn't show to the Fed-50. There are far more talented drivers other than him that can race. Anymore it's like his way or the highway. I say highway!!! ;)

On Thursday afternoon while getting the track ready for practice we had severe rain for over 4 hours leaving the track saturated. We worked on the track all evening trying to get the best track we could for the conditions we had to work with. With the amount of rain we had we we're lucky to get the show in.

No Promoter wants to put on a show with bad track conditions. Our staff worked all week to prepare for this show and theirs nothing you can do about mother nature. We worked the track the best we could prior to the feature to make it the best we could after the rain.

Thank you,
Kevin Gundaker

I'm not complaining about the track... rough yes, drivable absolutely. With all considered we should all be thankful that a local promoter is trying so hard.

Never thought I would return to TCS with the prior management being what it was... glad I went this year cause its nice to go to the races on friday nights with my dad again (if the racin isnt good he will not stay or return) thanks to everyone at TCS giving us a nice place to watch the races.

Why does everything have to be compared to Pevely? Every track is different and I think it was just fine.

I don't think he is neccesarily comparing TCS to Pevely. He was just describing the roller they have at Pevely. He could have said Tri-state in Haubstadt and I believe even Belle-Clair has one for that matter!

kudo's to kevin

I thought you did a wonderful job considering the rain and such , the early heats were a disaster but with track prep continuning after each race the track came in for the feature and I really did enjou Moyers win . sure felt sorru for Freddy , Those Hoosier's dont come cheaply. i believe he lost 4 and wasnt able to finish , Korty seemed to suffer the same fate, I will have to admit 12 oclock is waqy past this old farts bedtime but I am a klutton for punishment- went to the nickel race at pevely awhich lasted past 12 also. boy am i tired, but there were a whole bunch of happy kids there.

Why???

Let's get everybody's thought's on the track conditions at the lucas oil event at tri-city last night

Why would you want to stir this kind of crap up? They came, they raced, you watched. CASE CLOSED! If you didn't like it, well, to bad for you.

You must have a grudge against TCS or the Gundakers. If I'm not mistaken your the dummy who suggested TCS false advertised in an earlier post that Jimmy deleted last week.

People posting this kind of crap on here is why a lot of people no longer sign on.

Dirtgirl, I agree. To much bashing...Whose next, the virgin mary, or God himself?

Another thing that kills me. I'm in awe of how much personal information about the lives of the drivers people think they know. Damn, we've got some genuises on here don't we.
