No Feger?
No Babb?
No Shirley?

I hear word is they didn't show up because the purse was cut from $5000.00 to win down to $3000.00 to win.

Moyer's press release today says he is only racing at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 this weekend...

what did they expect, highland raced on a weekday. The other two tracks are racing on the weekend and have more seating capacity. And drivers are always complaint about pay, but don't show up when it's more than double, from a weekend purse. But then again a few probably didn't show for threat of weather. But it's pretty sad there was only six mars guys show up for event put on for them.

For the last couple of years, all three races paid $5,000 to win.

Before that, all three races paid $10,000 to win and there was a bonus of $10,000 if any single driver won 2 out of 3...

Shannon Babb collected $40,000 one year on this 3 day tour.

Happened to be back in the STL area this weekend and decided to stop in to my old haunt at Highland. Although disappointed in car count, had a good time, thought the LM feature was pretty cool. Love the bullrings and got to see some 4-wide early in the race. Shout out to the Highland crew for putting on the race and sticking with it, not sure about some of the prep calls but it turned out to be a pretty decent main. As for MARS, they dont' have a lot of guys following them anymore but glad I got to see some guys from out my way like Stovall and Jackson up in the area I grew up watching races at. I knew Jesse would come forward once he started hitting his lines and that's exactly what happened. Harrison is still the man up here in the mods, period, over, no argument, 'nuff said. Don't know why we've come to such a prima donna mentality with some of the "touring" guys or whatever you want to call them, professional teams? But they need to get over it and support racing when a promoter puts on events like these. And as for the local hot dogs who did not support racing in the local area, well I think this somes it up .... here kitty kitty!!!

Looney and Vaught should have been invited. Kicking teams off of a touring season is a bad decision by DirtCar.

Vaught wouldn't have came anyway. He was planning on running the MLRA stuff this weekend I believe.

Looney is the son-in-law of MARS owner Mooneyham... I understand he even had to throw his own daughter out of Monett Sunday night...lol

My understanding was it was a little scuffle with a punch or two thrown, but it turned into an all out brawl on the infield with crew members and such as well.

Wasn't it will vaughts dad that got into it with Babbs crew at I-55? I'm assuming his dad was involved in this brawl too.

I guess Vaught got into Looney on last lap.. When Vaught pulled up to scales on the infield, Looney came running and jumped on Vaught's hood and into Vaught's window and the melee was on...

Pretty sure it was Will Vaught who went after Casebolt while Casebolt was still in his seat at Tri-City a few years ago for being in his way...sounds like there is a common denominator in these stories. If your known for stirring it up when someone rubs you maybe you should be ready for it when you rub them.
