I was a little disappointed in tri city. I absolutely love this track and have been dealing with some health issues so I haven't been to many races.. I decide to load up at 5:00 and it's a hour and a half drive because I love this place... As soon as I got there hot laps were going on... It was already dusty and black when I got there..at 7:00. I know weather plays havoc on tracks but I've been to this track many times when it was hotter then it was. It was an absolute train race stuck to the bottom. I watched car struggle as son as they got off the bottom groove.. Once again I absolutely love this place and usually enjoy it and that's why I chose to drive over at the last minute. Not sure what happened with track prep but I sure hope whatever they did they don't do that again..
 
The low humidity that made it pleasant to outside in ninety degree weather, made it very hard to get enough water on the track during the day.
 
Don't blame track prep. Blame the LM tire rule. Do you think a softer tire that gets used up more puts down more rubber? If you burn up tires where do you think it goes? Into the track!!! Good job Slammin Sammy!
 
Feger has taken to social media to blast the track conditions. 2 things- first with the heat and the humidity was all over the charts Whattever water would be laid down is almost going to not seat in. Go ask a farmer what happens when watering during a time when one day the humidity is 20 percent then 70 percent then 20 percent. Bob the track prepper second to none. Second thing-tire rule. When a track rubbers up this new rule will lock in a feature. Its a freight train. There was racing but the front runners were basically locked in. Peveley was going to be the same and they got rained out. But to go blast a tracks prep and not goto the actual guys who actually go do it really a woosie way of handling it. I realize they have to make money. I get that. But blasting the track that not only put up the funds for the show but also threw in 3 provisionals which they donot have to do is beyond me. Oh hey lets go home and get on our cell phones and gripe about a track as we are heading to another one. Real mature. Every car had the same track to race on. If they didnt like it then they should have told kevin they didnt want to race on it. Any other time thats how it would have rolled. Seems feger and all his facebook bandits are really the majority of the ones griping. I realize some fans are too and i wasnt there. Im just going by videos of heats i seen and some of the feature. Yes it was dusty. Its summertime too and track surface at times would be well over 140-150 degrees during sunlight. I was blasted by saying the racing gods came into town. Well yes they did. Its one reason why i dont like to go to those shows. Tri citys weekly shows is by far a better show and provides more enjoyment. Yes its cool to see the top drivers come here. But some of our drivers are what i consider as good if not better that those guys. They just have better equipment. As i stated to the chronic gripers i ran godfrey for 8 yrs. We always ran a dry slick feature. Always. That was just the nature of the beast and you learn to drive it. If you dont like it take up bowling. Wait they was lanes different and stuff....whole other argument. My point is if these guys and fans continue to go on social media sites and act all ignorant and blast anyone who least tries to give a valid discussion sooner or later those track will say screw it. My opinion and i know its just my own but i wouldnt have any outside series come run my track. Why? First off a huge commitment has to be made. You have a big purse to gaurantee. Then you have upper class drivers expecting the best racing surface thats out there week in and week out. Then there are the fans driver's families cousins babysitters....you get the drift. You have to try to make everyone happy and its impossible. I was a feger fan and told him straight up that this really made me not one now. When people like him blast tracks about stuff way out of their control then it makes them look like a total ass. As i said i realize the track was dry. Youll have the same issues this week as we are getting rain but same deal with the humidity. And once again- their tire rule encourages 1 lane locked down features!
 
tell billy n bobby there was no passing -- I was not on the track a lot as I have the wrong gear for tcs but I thought the track was raceable -- I been doing this shit for longer than most ya been alive and have been on some very krappy tracks -- the place was no where near being krappy -- this is JMO
 
Seen where quincy got blasted also per social media for calling their races off due to rain. Damned if you do and damned if you dont i guess
