Ya know i sit here and read crap all the time about how,this track ****s,or that track cheats,or these people dont have a clue what is going on!

I for one will be the first to admit that i dont like every official,or the way some tracks are run,but it doesnt give a person on here the right to bash the track itself.

I have seen races at almost every track there is locally,and a few that are closed at this time......to me...there isnt a bad track out there.

Just because mom bought some of you a computer and taught ya how to type with 2 fingers,never gave anyone the right to bash another facility on a computer.

Now i have grown up less than a 1/4 mile from TCS,so yea that track is my socalled home track.But you ever see me on here bashing another facility just because i went there one night and it was a little dry....or...the drivers had alot of wrecks...or....it rained the night before and it took a little longer than usual to get the track ironed in.So what the track was a little greasy this night or a little black another night............

Do you people realize just how stupid you look bashing a track you have only been to 1 night?

There is a track i go to in KC once or twice a year,and that would be like me bashing them for an off night....makes alot of flippin sence dont it?

Certain tracks are going to draw more than others...always been that way and always will.Nothing any of you are ever going to be able to do about it!55 is going to draw more...its in a location were it can do this...that a bad thing?....no.....just a fact!Come across the river to the IL side and you have 5 tracks close enough that if you sneeze to hard you would cover.

But since my surgery i have sat here and watched people make some of the stupidest comments regarding tracks.

For your info,most of these guys work there ***'s off to run these shows for you people to sit in the stands and watch!

Its all racing...its all dirt.......different drivers....different surfaces....different promotors....different sanctions......but it still all boils down to one thing.....

I would love to sit down and chat with a promotor one night....that yes there are alot of different changes fans would like to see at the tracks to make them more family freindly.

If you people wasted half as much time giving these people ideas on what you would like to see.........instead of how bad there track ****s...yall might be surprised at what happens!

One thing that does amaze me is....and this is no bias observation....But how many Tcs people you ever see in here bash another track?See alot bash tcs for this and that........rules and such.....(i bash em on the rules from time to time,only because im one that thinks rules were wrote,they should be enforced)........but that 1/2 mile is one of the fastest racing dirt surfaces in the area,and with a few rule changes,no one on here can say the big boys would run it like they use to!


Sorry for the book...this post just started out about the bashin,and went a little longer than i intended it too....but next time you want to bash a track........think long and hard.....

questionhowmany years or decades have you been going to local tracks or have been to tracks outside the area and how it's done at other tracks and yes tcs would be considered my home track even though I won't go there and yes every body has there preference that's called racing also YEAH MAYBE YOUR WE SHOULD LOOKAT MORE AS WE WERE A KID DADDY I WANT A SNACK BAR AIN'T THAT RIGHT RETIRED

Relatively new to this Dirt Late Model racing and reading the discussions and topics about UMP, Extreme, SAS, MARS, WDRL and other racing sanctions, I suggest the following format.
Have all of the top 36 racing shows, say the top money ones, create a series for them and start say, 32 cars.
Pay min of 50,000 to win and 2000 to start, and I’ll bet ya you would once and for all get the Dirt Late model racing to a nationwide audience and prestige.
I would suggest a major sponsor would come along and promote this since I believe, when you add up all of the fan base for this racing, it would be more than the NASCAR series.
But the real issue is the tracks. Seating and accommodations are based on the weekly shows and the track conditions are not consistent. Nature takes a big part of that, but technology can help to facilitate that aspect.
Rules for the cars, well that seems to me to be a small issue, since they are only about seven or so major chassis designs used and the drive train is limited to current technology and skillful assembly and testing.
IF a major sponsor could be gained for this, and the majority of the funds transfer to these, say 20 to 25 tracks, in a few short years, the accommodations and seating would be the envy of all racing with a small hometown and family entertainment atmosphere.

Pretty good bottom line point 2extremeracing2. But there has been a lot of bashing of all the different tracks around here since the inception of this message board. And yes, your TCS faithful, among many others, have been doing it over the years too.

Its really ironic because your point about going to a given track and having that particular night(s) being less than stellar due to it being a little wet, dry, lot of wrecks, or this or that, is just the exact discussion that dirt hound and I was having the other night. Like I said then, if a person goes all year long to the races, then throws em all in the pot at the end of the year, they will probably always call that year a good time. Well, thats just the way I try to look at the racing season.

I dont complain about the track or track surface. I have been going to races locally for over 50 years but at tri city speedway whoever heard of general addmission the same price as reserved with no selection of section/ row/or seat.The seat I got was so for at the end I could not see the No.four turn needless Iwent to the cheap lower area. Note wente only mentioned reserved thats why some good race fans go to other tracks.
 
THAT'S CORRECT RETIRED LET'S OPTIONS 20 BUCKS TO SEE 45 LMS30 PLUS SPINTS AND ABOUT 8 NAACAR DRIVERS OR PAY 25 TO SEE LMS AND A HOST OF MODS HMMMM

The person that wrote this thread needs to be commended by all local promoters. You know in this sport I have seen one thing that all of us have been guilty of one time or another and that is we spend so much time "tearing down our own sport" it is a wonder any of us have sponsors at all. We all must remember no matter wheither you are a car owner,driver,race team member, or promoter these sponsors read these message boards, and I bet they think all of us are nut's. We all need to clean up our act on the message boards were all under the watchful eyes of our fans and sponsors at all times.
 
I agree with 2xtremeracing2 100%... its your choice on what track you go too...then they get on here and complain at how bad it was ...but right after that on friday or sat..they jump up and go right back to the track they were complaining about... all they do is make there self look bad ...if i was a promoter i would listen to the guy who came and offered his help before i would the 1 thats on here bashing the track and officals.. most of the promoters i have met are nice guys and try to do everything possible for the racing fans .....like it or not bob wente is one of those guys ....lot of people do not like him but he does things the way he does for the sport of it so all the little guys have a chance...you take his late models....the reason they are restricted is so the little guy has a chance ...it dont take near the money to build one of those as it does for a ump late model.....you also have godfrey speedway with wade glover ...that track is on my way home and every morning on my way to work i see wade there same goes for on my way home.....he puts an awfully lot of hours in at that track and alot of people bash him here...but the wiered thing is there they bash him then in the next post they say WOW THAT LATE MODEL RACE WAS GREAT.....so for those of you that complain you need to take a chill pill go to the track you like and enjoy it (for once).....or just sit back read all this and put yourself in the promoter shoes....if that dont help then i would say give up dont go to the races any more because YOUR A LOST CAUSE.....
 
To Bash is one thing, to complain is anouther!

I'm pretty shore, the complaining comes from the love we all have for this sport.

We all know, people who represent the tracks read this forum. This is why, this is a good place to state our views. Thank you Jimmy D. for the forum. If we have a bad exsperience at a track, a little constuctive criticism may help. If not, at least it makes us feel a little better. After all, we dedicate alot of time to racing!

Complaining is as American as apple pie! Did Rosa Parks sit back and take it, after all, she was lucky to get a bus ride at all. (not!!!)

This is America, complain all you want, (please be civil !!!) because after all, the squeaky wheel gets the grease!!!!

Constructive criticism is one thing,pointing out things you would like to say is one thing...but some of the posts already on this thread pretty much proved my point.

Point in example.....retired has been going to the races for over 50 years locally,so id dare to say he has been at granite before.So he made a decision when he got to the races(probably late to get a seat like that),bought his ticket,walked in,sat down,and watched the races....but now decides to ***** on here about the price.

Nother one is wildchilddriving.......id dare to say the person hasnt ran tcs,if he has its prob once or twice,and he has no clue why the count is down.

My opinion on why the count is down is because of the 90 dollar fee to register(wich i hope wente drops this year for next year)Ive talked with plenty of racers that have said they would be there on sat nights if they didnt have to pay the fee to run a hand full of races a year when there's was rained out or off that weekend,plus the fri nite cars that have no were else to run!

But to make a comment like you have to **** up to run there is one OF THE DUMBEST things ive read on here......cuzz trust me....drivers dont **** up to no one!

Look thru the threads....you have a handfull on another thread bashin the flagman,when they apperently have no idea how a race is even handled.......flagman waves the flags....tower makes the calls......and there was nothing hoot could have done that night with xtreme running the show(as witnessed to by little g).

Then you got another thread of people bashing wente because he started charging half price for kids 2 to 10.....last i checked.....he owned the track....do i agree with having to pay for the kids?......no......but when was the last time you took your kids to the movie and it was free?

Wake up people.....nothin in this world is free anymore except the air you breath....so what good does it to come on here and bash a track for a price the charge?

You got other idiots bashing wade at godfrey...when the man spends hours on end out there workin his a s s off getting a track ready for a friday night show that may or may not get rained out...but the man is still there regardless!Then the same one's that wine and cry are probobly the first in the pits....or first to ride the pine in the stands every week!That goes for all of the tracks......*****in and moanin because the promotor had to call the races because of water or some other reason!

Before someone decides to state the fact that i make comments about people on here from the track....you need to look at it from the way i grew up.....i cant stand a cheater.......i cant stand a liar....aka.....a few officials ill not mention.

This isnt football,we dont have the technoligy to stop a race.......throw a flag and go to instant repley to get a call right....its local short track DIRT RACING.....were the fans sit on pine seats.....drink beer with dirt flying in ther faces,and sit back and watch races!


Back to the comment on kids in free....wich is on another thread....the poster made the comment ...this isnt baseball or a hockey game.....

You been to a hockey game lately slick?Decent seats are 40.00 dollars on the minimum a pop......4 people...that 160.00....not counting parking....or food..........or the 6.00 beer...and lasts 3 hours!

pretty much the same for baseball...unless your the kind of person that likes sitting in nosebleed seats!

Last i checked...parking was free at the tracks...beer is 3.00....and no one makes your pine sniffin ***'s go and buy the track food....try eating before you go if thats your only complaint!(or can you not go without food for 4 hours?)

Yall need to wake up and realize these guys cant just give this away for free anymore......or there wont be any racing period!


Instead of bashing a track that isnt even one you normally go to......try giving them a few ideas you would like to see at the track......such as a playground for the kids....better bathrooms.....jr fanclubs......some way to get more bang out of your buck than *****in on here about the moronic things you people ***** about!

Now, this post, we have the "user friendly" Dale Parker, all smiles, all "I'm just trying to help for goodness sake, gee golly gosh, aint we all just here to go racin" and "boy, I sure do hates people who dont follow rules, Opie, how bout you?"

Check his other posts, and you'll see a guy who routinely uses these forums to insult others, name call, belittle the officials at his local track, deliberately and maliciously slander people, accuse others of cheating, lie about other people, and generally be the exact opposite of what he is being on this thread.

Dont make me post links to your other posts, Dale, it just might tarnish that halo your wearing today.

This thread was started to find out why people have to bash different tracks that they dont normally attend....not to swap posts with you on old issues.

Ever see me bash any other track for anything that went on when i went and watched another race?....no

Example would be...i went to godfrey a few weeks ago and the track was so dusty i had to wear glasses all night to watch the races........did i get on here and bash wade?.....no

Its a part of racing that comes with dirt,and if your going to go watch,its something you have to except.


I know what i can type and what i cant type on the net......if what i type isnt the truth.....its considered slander!

To prove slander...you have to prove it isnt so....beyond the reason of dought!


Now any of the issues i had at the track are not from hear say.....they are from being there in person!

What he tried to do to Rick Sr? Dale, what Billy said that night was him cracking a joke, and it was never anything more, and everyone who was within earshot knew it. Your the only person on the planet who is still trying to make out that Billy was seriously trying to get Rick Sr. Dq'ed for not going straight to tech. Talk about creative grudge making, your the champion. Have you talked to Billy yet? Introduced yourself? You've said plenty about him on here, have you ever once said a single word to his face?

And what of this thread you have started? Your on here saying "dont bash the track." But its ok to bash drivers, officials, promoters, announcers, concession people, the guy who fills the water truck, etc.. oh my goodness, but just "dont bash that little dirt oval, cause after all, its nothing but dirt and doesnt deserve to be bad mouthed just cause all the people who run the track are totally incompetent." Yeah, its wrong to bash another track, but its ok to completely rip on your home track? Hmmmmm....

Like to know why i know the 4th place car wouldnt pull in?It was my brother,i was standing there,and he flat told them no....im not pulling in....you will have to dq me before i let you dq him!


Id suggest you talk with rick's pit crew,because those guys will give you exactly the answer i am!



As for introducing myself.......lmao...he knows who i am...i stood less than 4 ft from him last night....i was with my wife and kids....and i dont see a need in starting **** at the track when my kids are around!



And no....im not a nice guy.....just ideas for what might make a track like it use to be when i was a kid going there.......and ideas ive seen at other tracks that worked!
