Mike Muerer (AKA the Talker Guy) passed away on this day 3 years ago..

We all miss the best announcer this area has ever seen!!

Had the pleasure of working with Mike every week for almost 12 years.
What you saw is what Mike was. Always the same. He treated everyone fair

Mike was a real personalty behind the microphone and made the racing that much better with his enthusiasm, he put you in the action. RIP

what mike brought to the fans was his tremendous enthusiasm for the sport we love. his gift of giving drivers nicknames made fans feel closer to the drivers & thus wanting to see their favs more. sadly he died much too young.
 
It was such a shock to hear he had passed that day three years ago. Sharing the mic with him was an honor. He (and Glen Jacoby) were not only mentors, but friends as well. RIP
