I want to race five miles from my shop!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets have a make up date for both races.

Maybe if alot of people post about it, they will feel that the attendance will be high enough with or without the NASCAR boys. They will only have these races if they are financially feasible, they have to make money to stay in bussiness.

Yea i think that they should have to rescedule both races , because i know lots of people who wants to see latemodels

I went there last year...that was a joke. I never seen one UMP late model. What do you classify as a late model?? Please answer and don't delete

Farmington, MO (July 13, 2004) St. Francois County Raceway presented NASCAR Night with guest Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace. Schrader brought his Federated Auto Parts sponsored late model and modified, while Wallace brought his Stacker2 sponsored modified.

The U.M.P. (United Midwestern Promoters) Modifieds kicked things off and it was NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader picking up the win with a last lap pass. Bobby Bittle set the pace for most of the event as he led the first 22 laps of the 25 lap main event. Bittle held off the early challenge of Scott Weber for the first 10 laps before Weber got into turn one too hard and spun, collecting third place running Jeff LeBaube in the process. It ended the night for both Weber and LeBaube. Mechanical woes ended Bittle's run as he slowed and pulled to the infield while leading with just three laps remaining. Billy Smith inherited the lead when Bittle left the event but was facing serious challenges from Rusty Griffaw and Ken Schrader. Smith and Griffaw used the high side while Schrader moved to the bottom and found the going good there as he moved past both Griffaw and Smith to take over the lead on the final lap and take the win. Smith came across second and Griffaw was third. Brent Thompson came home fourth and Kenny Wallace rounded out the top five with a great run from his twenty-first starting position.

In victory lane, Schrader proceded to give the winner's trophy to a young child in the stands. The youngster was very pleased with his gift and crowd gave a huge ovation to Schrader for his kind gesture.

Ed Dixon took the lead from Billy James on the eighth circuit of the thirty lap U.M.P. Late Model feature event and went on to victory and collected the $2,000 first place prize. Dixon had to hold off the late challenges from James as his car began to tighten up and not want to turn. Dixon continued to charge into the turns harder and harder, forcing the car through the turns. Dixon held and claimed the victory. James came across second. Billy Faust was able to move by Ken Schrader in the final two laps to take third, Schrader came home fourth and Ron Sensel rounded out the top five.
