This Friday night the Gateway Vintage Racing Association will be invading the Doe Run Raceway. Mother nature has played havoc with the schedule for both the track and the Association this season. Looks like this time it's gonna be sunny and HOT! Then we will double up the weekend with a visit to the St. Francois County Raceway on Saturday night. SFCR has a new Owner/Promoter this year and the torch has really been rekindled there. Special Shows, extra payout, extra classes and a strong rebound in the face of mother nature to avoid rainouts have topped the list of positive changes that the crowd has experienced. This weekend will see the GVRA visiting AND a topless $1000 to win B mod 20 lap Feature headlining the show, with the rest of the weekly classes of Sprint cars, A mods, and Pure Streets rounding out the night.
