UMP Banquet date?

I've checked the UMP website and they have no mention of their banquet anywhere. When is the UMP Banquet for 2009 being held?

I heard TTG announce that it was at the Crown Center in Springfield, IL again, same place as last year. Certainly AARA and UMP wouldn't schedule their banquets on the same night? :(
 
Is it possible for AARA to change their banquet date? I know that track owners and sponsors attend the UMP banquet, as last year both Stan Schanter of Belle-Clair Speedway and Ray Marler & Kenny Schrader of I-55 Raceway were there. Many, many drivers and teams attend the UMP banquet as well as many fans and sponsors of teams. Jimmy Dearing and crew were there also. I believe Dean Nichols also attends the UMP Banquet on behalf of the Extreme Series.

I can't understand booking the AARA banquet on the same night/weekend as the UMP Banquet. Can the AARA date be changed? Please?
 
AARA is looking at other dates and will be making an announcement very soon regarding their banquet.

UMP apparently is having sanctioned point races in Florida beginning in late January so they backed up their banquet which created this conflict.

Not sure if the Extreme awards will be a part of the AARA deal.

I know last year the Extreme awards were done at the AARA banquet. Oesnt mean it will be this year though. Hopefully a new date can be arranged for those that are needing to attend both awards banquets.
 
I sure hope AARA can change their date so we can see our Jimmy accept his first ever AARA Sportsman Championship award & trophy and the HUGE 3rd place Sportsman trophy at the UMP banquet. I don't get out much (except for the races ;)) so I sure would like to be able to go to BOTH of these events.

Intake, you know that UMP involves many, many more people and States than the also huge 2-track AARA banquet. I just hope that something can be done so that everybody who wants to can attend both banquets. :D These events are way too important to too many people to make us choose one over the other. That's just not fair. :eek:

seems to me the allied banquet has always been the 1st weekend of january and the last 4 years or so the UMP banquet has been the 2nd week of january. why have the banquet in january anyways? most tracks have them in november or december.
