You have Danny Emms listed as a sportsman and 4 cyl. Would that 4 cyl be street stock? Also, Josh Griffith was on the 1st list. Now I don't see him listed???

The 4 day (or 3 day) format for the support classes killed a a TON of intrest. Like most, not about to spend 4 days there, hotels, camping or otherwise to race a heat thursday and a feature saturday. Especially when theres a couple classes running for money every night. Would have to win to break even, it doesnt fit into logic.

You can race Thurs and qualify for the feature Sat -
You can race Fri and qualify for the feature Sat -
You do not have to be there 4 days to make the feature -
There are features every night so there should be some good racing...

I was talking to the guy camped over by us last night and he goes to Boone every year! He said the camping spots at I-55 are huge compared to there and he is paying less for his spot at I-55. Then he indicated that he paid for his golf cart there as well. Said the entry fees and all are pretty much the same and the format as well - he is tickled to be at I-55 this weekend said it was a cheaper trip than others for him. He said he asked for vacation as soon as he heard about this race and their dates. Lets just enjoy the racing we have and party cause that is what it is really PARTY at PEVELY.

We are going after school is out. Go to Lowes or HomeDepot and get a can of spray paint. Crying over the Blues doing bad I don't know what you are talking about. I won't be crying this year, they are going to have a great year. Cards didn't do so good Rams well thats another story that means its the Blues trun to shine.

Jim see you and Jeremy there.

Well Miss Jen I see you made it to Lowes or Home Depot yesterday :D Kent gave me my house warming present last night the PINK looks awesome !!!!!
Save the pink can - you might have to touch her up after Kent uses it several times before next year -- Opps let me back up I think Kent will be using it next year he has already said he might be camping next year !!!!!!

You may be right. We will see soon. But, lets not forget, this is the "1st annual' roundup. There will be bugs that ump will work out to make this show better every year.

I too think they might want to up the support division money next time. Or maybe have different support classes each night so they can race and go home. like I said this show will be the trial run and needed changes will become clear.

I would have thought that UMP would have asked their Sanctioned tracks not to run against this show like a few are doing.

I'm sure UMP/World Racing Group is paying attention!

Dirtgirl .. you apparently did NOT look at the flyer ... the ONLY classes that run heats and features every night is the LM & Mod. Only 8 of those are locked into Saturday's feature .. so only 8 drivers (16 total in two classes - LM & Mod) do not have to come back on Friday if they finish top 8 Thurs. ALL other drivers have to come back on Friday.

Look at the flyer and tell me where you see any other class running a feature every night or having a chance to make the feature every night.

Pro Lates & Sportsman run heats and a D main only on Thursday.
Limited Mods, 4-cyl, street stock, factory stock run heats ONLY on Thursday. (NONE are locked into the Feature from Thursday).

These classes ALL must come back on Friday to run their "alphabet" qualifers.

Then if they make the feature, they must come back again on Saturday to run their feature.

Three entry fees .. three nights of traveling etc.

MFloyd is correct with his comments. He was talking about the "support" classes. You need to look at what the format is for ALL classes rather than just LM & Mods before you comment.

The updated list was drivers that had registered as of 5pm Wednesday. The previous list was drivers that had bought reserved parking or registered. Steve Arpin is already at I-55 Raceway.

In fact, he drew pill #941 out of 999 for tonight's heat races.

I will hang on to the paint, could not find "pink" at Lowes and I don't walk in to the Tony place they call Home Depot. (got the shaft one too many times from Home Depo, must be a Tony thing) Anyway it was a $7.00 can so it wont go far. YES I will be useing it next year, We will try to camp across from you so it will need to be haft & haft. ( pink & blue) Heck I might even take it to Eldora on our next bus trip, you will need to go Dirt Girl. The thing is all ready geting mail (Beer Cans) Dirt Girl ask you to drop off the wiskey she's not a big beer drinker. This is one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in racing by not taking the time off work to camp and be there all 4 days. It will not happen next year. It was a bummer walking around the pits last night with all those cars and campers knowing I'm going to miss tonight due to work. I feel sorry for my coworkers today, I will be cranky. Do your self a favor if you can call it an early day at work or just call in sick DO IT you will not be sorry.:D:D See you Friday or tonight after the races. I know I will not be happy tonight untill I get my fix at the track tonight. I feel I have done something wrong by not showing up. This is killing me:mad:

with 8 classes running what do you consider support class. you dont race a heat thursday and a feature saturday anyway. each day is a new race. with latemodels the top 8 are in thurs for sat. and same for fri. you can race them both and not sit till feature sat. all the classes are racing for $ every time they race.

thanks jimmy.. that is a very tall pill but it will be exciting to watch come from the back..

Big Bad Bear I am sorry to get you upset so early this morning ....

You are correct I did not read to well I just read what pertained to the 2 cars we brought so shame on me-

Look at the flyer and tell me where you see any other class running a feature every night or having a chance to make the feature every night.

MY BAD

Okay I see that as well same as all the above so still 1 bad for me :D

If they are bringning 3 cars then they do owe 3 entry fees - But if they have 1 car the entry fee is a 1 time deal- So your Bad and we are even- they can always stay at the free camping area

I agree I should have studied the classes that we are not racing but you are are truley the pot calling the kettle black you are not informed as well so do your reading as well - Look it's either you go to this race or you do not ! You have came up with every excuse not to go and that is perfectly fine every one has to pick and choose what they can afford to do ! If you are a die hard racer you would take a few days off - get a camp spot- FREE ONES available- get a pit spot FREE ONES available and go racing and enjoy one of the last weekends to go racing. It's ashame that everyone wants big shows around the area and then they get one in the making and a few want to argue the facts and the rules and the program- let this year and the next be a learning curve and in a non ballistic way share your comments and they might just respond to those thoughts in the future -- Hope to see you there at least 1 night or more or maybe in the future- :)

I used the term "entry" fees (my bad ) ... I meant you have to pay three days of pit passes for 1 show if you are a support class. Not too economical for the purse listed.

I agree with the post that says they should have run the entire show for the class on one day and then had a different classes or two each night.

JMO

Enjoy the races ... :D
