UMP DIRTcar Roundup Entry List...

this might be a dumb question but from the list i see is it even enough cars/drivers to even fill all the A-mains? much less the heats.unless its just gonna be 3 or 4 car heats.not trying to be negative in any way but it's monday night. the round up starts in two days are alot hopefully in the hundreds of cars/drivers just not sighned up yet?to be honest times are gettin rough and payin(me&girlfriend)40 thur nite 40 fri nite and 50 sat night seems way outta reach for what looks to be for the most part a regular weekly show.

All you are seeing for names are those that have paid for reserved parking stalls. There could be a whole lot more not wanting to paid for reserved parking stalls.

thats a good point but where would a whole lot more racers and teams park/pit stall?pevely is big but you clear out the infeild and put just the names on the list out back not much room left alot more.plus the fan and family parking.was and is a great idea just seems kinda weird goin up against the dtwc and any other area races for those who live farther away.if they just wanted locals it shoulda been the pevely get together and 2 days instead of 4.and if the reserved pits dont sell out but the other areas are over flowing and they open up the reserved areas do those who paid get their money back?

Thats what it's going to be a regular show without regular pricing, but thats what they want weekly racers. Why all the extra fee's its whats got me questioning this race.
You know I was one of the first to question the pricing of this event but after looking into it deeper you need to understand what all is going into it. Things you don't see walking though the gate. Insurance/cops/and so on. It takes alot to put on a 3 or 4 day show when you are having people there 24 hours a day for 4 days. I have heard that this show started out slow with low car counts the first couple of years at other tracks and now the same tracks have an overflow of cars and fans. We all (most of us) have been asking for big shows like this and now we got it. GIVE IT A CHANCE for a few years and lets see what happens. Just remimber anyone that don't like the prices don't haft to go. I realy don't think you will want to miss this one. Not a big fan count for the sportsman/street stock/ pure stock/ pro 4's nationals but if you did not go you missed some of the best racing of the year. :D

ole scruffy wants us to all go to lowes I 'll go scruffy can I use your credit card I won't abuse it too much :D:D:D:D scuffy will go to the vern this weekend instead of I55 poor guy

I think it is awesome that they are going to have this. But if they are going to have this ever year I think they need to invest in putting up shower houses. How are people going to beable to shower? I understand and everyones going to say I have a rv, camper, or my toter for that. Thats fine and all but what about the little guy that have to tent? Also are they going to come by so you can either dump your tank and have a water truck there to fill your tank when you run out? Just think they have and do at other bigger shows I've been to in the past. I go with my rv to a two day show and they have all of that so i think if people are going to be there for 4 days they should have that for the racers, crews, and fans. Just a thought..

Good thinking but again it's there first year and we have not been to the show yet so hold off on the what if's, one would think with an event like this someone in that business would try to make some money and bring a truck and offer that service.

A big show to me isn't 4 days with 8 classes and 5,000 to win,it's a 2 day show with 2 classes and about 20,000 grand plus to win like the Illini 100. If you look at any big show they don't charge for pit stalls and 4 wheel permits and so on!!And I'm sure they have insurance to pay along with security and all the thing I-55 will pay without all the extra fee's so get over the BS!

I'm not trying to start an arguement, So don't start with the B/S crap. Dose it realy matter what the real meaning of " A Big Show " is? If you don't go, your not paying the bills or the purse so who cares? Be glad there is still racing. By now I55 is dark for the season so be glad. I agree 2 classes for 20,000 is nice but don't forget it's nice to have more classes, Not everyone likes just one class. I like the Late models and mod's but the sportsman show was truly a great show. Why not let everyone race ? Dam the season is almost over. I understand you are hard to please but give it a chance or just don't go. You are wrong anyway on the permit thing anyway. Eldora charges for carts and 4 wheelers. the rest of the stuff? Well so what I'm not paying for any of it anyway. IT'S THE PRICE YOU PAY NOW A DAYS TO RACE IF YOU WAN'T TO RACE. If you don't race then just don't go.

Boone Iowa Nationals a truely big show 6 days over 800 cars charges for everything. motorized carts and four wheelers are parked for the night as soon as the drivers meeting is over. This show was started many years ago!

the true reason for permits is to discourage you from bringing one and accountability!

they do not want 800 plus four wheels and carts!

there will be 400 plus cars and alot of great racing! Big names aren't the only ones that thrill the fans!

you have never seen eight classes at pevely! I have personaly talked to drivers coming from indiana, tennessee, michigan, wisconsin.and even california.

this event will grow year after year, its not always about the big name drivers, sometimes its about the support classes!

If only you and hound would learn to spell it would be nice or atleast use spell check or something bryan. What is dose do you mean does or what dude?? Dam is a solid wall that holds water damn is the word your looking for,if I don't know how to spell something I get a dictionary out you and ole hound might want to try that sometime.I forgot that Eldora started charging for the permits excuse me but Eldora and I-55 there are no comparision Eldora is hands down the superior track and has many big shows. So take a little advice go to a yard sale and get a dictionary!!

Hay stay out of this Bigevil :) I guess I proved my point if all you can talk about is my spelling. Here is some info for you. I was not put on this earth to spell nor do I give a sh** what people think about my spelling, most of all you. Don't you think it's about time to stop bashing every post you look at? and how is a dictionary going to help me if I can't spell the word I looking for? I was not compairing tracks just a fact you are wrong. Don't go and get all bent out of shape over any of this. If you don't like the prices don't go and if you don't like my spelling then please put me on your blocker. Oh how do you spell **** never mind you can't argue with mr. Perfect. Oh by the way this is Kent, Bryan can spell I can't.

If you look into the competitors guide you will find that it pays back all the way thru the b,c,d & e mains. There is $138,000 on the line to be taken home!
Lets call this the 4 day no names round up where someone from eight different classes will make a name for themselves.

Hopefully it will be eight guys who have never won before! Maybe it will be a stepping stone to stardom!

Some where in the 30 to 40 races a night i guarantee there will be some of the best no name racing you've ever seen!
