UMP Modified Mania Dirt Nationals - Sept 18th, 19th & 20th, - $1500 to win - $2,000 to win - $3,000

Are there going to be any three day specials on the pit passes???

I was wondering the same thing? I called the track and answering machine did not say and I saw nothing posted so far.

Kevin, Tammy or Jimmy D if you could answer that would really help us out, is there a three pit pass price?

tires?

What is the tire rule for the super late models on saturday, 20, 40 or 10, 20, 30, 40's?

Jimmy Cummins started 22nd (dead last) in the Sportsman Feature and finished 6th. 16 spots. That's a "hard charger" award winner!

Tri-City rescheduled the season championship for August 26th.

We would of normally done one class for hard charger as always. However, Tri-City had a ton of rainouts this year which left many of the already paid for hard charger awards unused. It was decided several weeks ago to make those up by awarding those to Tri-City's weekly classes during the special events. We also wanted to award it to every weekly class on season championship night.

The B-Mods the other night had a hard charger because Nullynski Race Cars put up the award.

Sportsman class overlooked again

Tri-City rescheduled the season championship for August 26th.

Do you mean September 26th?

We would of normally done one class for hard charger as always. However, Tri-City had a ton of rainouts this year which left many of the already paid for hard charger awards unused. It was decided several weeks ago to make those up by awarding those to Tri-City's weekly classes during the special events. So, Jimmy D., 50 Sportsman cars show up last night, and Jimmy Cummins passes more cars in the Sportsman Feature race than any of the other classes:

Late Models, (27 cars) 14th place finish -- 81 CRAIG SMITH Godfrey, IL --- STL Racing Hard Charger started 20th passed 6

Modifieds, (58 cars) 8th place finish-- 41m BRENT MULLINS Litchfield, IL --- STL Racing Hard Charger started 19th passed 11

Crates, (22 cars) 9th place finish -- 59X AARON HECK * Mount Vernon, IL --- STL Racing Hard Charger started 16th passed 7

Sportsman, (50 cars) 6th place finish -- 19c JIMMY CUMMINS Waterloo, IL -- started 22nd passed 16

50 Sportsman cars show up for this race and a Hard Charger award is not awarded to this class? Why not? Because it is not a "regular class" run at Tri-City anymore? The Crate Late Models weren't even supposed to be included in this race, according to a flier that we received; they were added.

And it's not even the fact that Jimmy passed more cars than anyone else receiving the Hard Charger Award, it's the fact that the Sportsman class was overlooked again. Nice way to show gratitude to 50 racers who show up for a race. :( And Jimmy did talk to the Gundakers about it after the race.

I know it was said in other posts about no hard charger award for Sportsman...

"The B-Mods the other night had a hard charger because Nullynski Race Cars put up the award."

Since the B-mods had no hard charger award, it was nice to see Nullynski put up the sponsorship for that award.

Too bad the people running the Sportsman National Series couldn't sponsor the Hard Charger award.

Don't really think Jimmy should be bashed because he didn't sponsor it.

He really does go above and beyond for the racing community, just because he enjoys doing it.

Exactly, too bad, when the Sportsman class had the best Hard Charger performer of all 4 classes.

I'm not bashing Jimmy Dearing. I know he works very hard to promote racing in our community and loves doing it. But it was promoted as the stlracing.com Hard Charger Award.

It just doesn't seem fair to give it to all of the other classes and not the Sportsman class also. And like my son said, it's not a big deal, just very unfortunate.

I'm done whining now.

There was $5,000 put up at the start of the year for the STLRacing.com Hard Charger. Originally it was setup just like I-55's where it is given to one class each night and rotated each night to a different class.

As the rainouts kept mounting up at Tri-City, the options were to either just keep on schedule and only pay out one class per night which would of left more than half of that money unpaid to any driver. Or to just start adding another class as hard charger each night.

I believe it was August 29th when I discussed with Tri-City what our options were. We counted up how many nights were left and how much hard charger money was left and just started adding it to more classes each night. We decided to take care of the weekly classes first because that is where the money was supposed to have went to begin with.

I'm done explaining myself on this...After all, it is $5,000..

Jimmy I think what you do for the hard charger award every week at Tri City and Pevely is an awesome thing and not to many people would put out that kind of money to do that. As a racer that is an awesome thing to do and its cool that someone appreciates when a driver runs his/her butt off to achieve such a thing. Thank You Jimmy Dearing and STL Racing for everything you have done for racing in the St. Louis area!!!!!

I wish I could. Jimmy Cummins has passed more cars in the last 2 weeks(11 at I-55and 16 at Tri-City) than anybody. As it is we'll give out over 6k for the whole series and as of right now I don't have any extra left. Any body want to be a sponsor?

i can sponsor the hard charger award for last week's race at tri-city.............. lol my mom would love to hear that

Right. I do not do the hard charger at I-55. MO/IL Dodge Dealers does the hard charger at I-55.
