UMP national Modified points question

I believe I seen where gilpin had 33 wins and Harrison had 29 wins... I understand you only count 30 races.. With Harrison in the lead and still 1 more race to win to get to 30 wins it's going to be tough for gilpin to catch him correct? If I understand it right Harrison next win will give him anywhere from 75-80 points depending on car count.. That will be pretty tough to catch if this is correct... Just seeing if anyone can give me a solid answer??

So if Harrison's next best finish was 2nd and say it earned him 65 points, then his next win of lets say 70 points would replace the 65 points which is only a net gain of 5 points. It is not a runaway for Harrison. These two will battle it out til the end this year and it is great to watch.

Harrison has more wins with over 25 cars that Gilpin does.. Gilpin will need a couple of wins with over 25 cars to make up the difference. But September is usually a good month for mod car counts with tracks shutting down for the year and drivers going to tracks still open.
