Last night, you could see from the grandstands what appeared to be a UMP official checking tires at the scale. I don't know about anything else.

the outside of the tires is looking in the wrong place.

I'm not saying that tires were the only thing they teched. I'm only stating that I saw them checking tires.

Not necessarily. There are very useful external and internal tire treatments.
