Wissota teams up with local engine builders to develop an affordable "concept engine" package. While it does not do much for the Ford guys it looks like a very affordable alternative to just relying on crate engines. While at first glance the 10 to 12 k price tag for the latemodel/modified package seems a little steep, it does however leave open the option for the racer that can build their own competitive engine at a reasonable cost. Add in the opportunity for local engine builders to not only supply local racers with a quality/competitive product, it opens up more sponsorship opportunities, a win win situation for engine builders and racers. The only issue I see is tech... everyone knows UMP is allergic to teching race cars.
