Big Money Unilli Series Set to Enter Illinois in 2013
(Decatur, IL) Less than 24 hours from the breaking news that a 10 race point series was going to race across 4 tracks in the Midwest making stops at Cerro Gordo and Macon Speedway. Cerro Gordo reached yet another ground breaking deal to bring another huge series to Cerro Gordo Speedway in 2013. When Tommy Bennett the promoter of our Cerro Gordo Speedway established his team at the end the end of the 2012 season, he had one goal in mind. That was to make Cerro Gordo Speedway the premier dirt go-kart track in the Midwest. With the hard work of our team we have been able to bring huge opportunities for the drivers, teams, and sponsors in 2013.
Unilli has come on board to do a 5 race series at two track; Cerro Gordo Speedway and Macon Speedway. The series will pay $1000 to win and $500 to second through fifth each night of the series. Unilli will be guaranteeing the purse with no kart minimums. At the end of the 5 races, who ever earns the most points will receive a Unilli Trophy, Unilli Ring, Unilli Jacket, and a Unilli Tent. Second place will receive a Unilli Tent, and third through fifth will receive a free set of Unilli Tires. Unilli will also be giving away 20 sets of tires before the first series race. We will take pre-registration for the first race up until April 1st. We will then draw 20 names at random and they will receive a free set of Unilli Tires. The entry fee for each night of racing will be $75. There will be no membership fee. This class will be Adult Clone 380lbs. We will run under the AKRA rules and must run a Unilli tire all the way around. Unilli Illinois Series 2013 schedule will be as follows:
