those who might otherwise race illegally on the street a safe, legal venue to race their cars against

Wednesday, September 29, 2004, Slick Tire Test and Tune: Slick Tire Test and Tune includes
cars, motorcycles and Junior Dragsters with slick tires or D.O.T. slicks doing just what the event
title says, testing their vehicles and making the adjustments to push them to run faster in the
upcoming money races! Gates open at 5:00pm with runs from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
The final Gateway Megabucks event of the 2004 drag racing season takes place October 1-3. The
event features the finest in 1/8-mile bracket racing with racers from throughout the region,
representing various classes, competing side-by-side against one another in one class for a total
purse of $40,000 distributed over three action-packed days. Racers can enter up to four times for
$150 each. A one-day spectator pass is $15, two days is $25 and three days is $30 with children
12 and under admitted free.
Friday, October 1, 2004, Gateway Megabucks: All Run 1/8-Mile Bracket Racing. Gates open
at 8:00am with Time Trials at 9:00am and Eliminations immediately following the time runs.
Friday's top prize is $5,000.
Saturday, October 2, 2004, Gateway Megabucks: All Run 1/8-Mile Bracket Racing. Gates
open at 8:00am with Time Trials at 9:00am and Eliminations immediately following the time
runs. Saturday's top prize is $10,000.
