Wednesday, July 28, 2004, Slick Tire Test and Tune: Slick Tire Test and Tune includes cars,
motorcycles and Junior Dragsters with slick tires or D.O.T. slicks doing just what the event title
says, testing their vehicles and making the adjustments to push them to run faster in the upcoming
money races! Gates open at 5:00pm with runs from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
Friday, July 30, E.T. (Elapsed Time) Bracket Racing/National Dragster Challenge -
Motorcycle Classes/Midnight Madness: This Regular Points program takes place every Friday
night and features Jr. Dragsters, High School, Trophy, Pro Motorcycle and Street Motorcycle
classes running for up to a $500 purse or trophies (depending on the class). In addition, the Pro
Bike and Street Bike classes will be competing for a coveted NHRA "Wally" trophy, the highest
honor in drag racing, in the motorcycle portion of the National Dragster Challenge. Finally, this
Midnight Madness event is the rescheduling of the third of four runnings of an off-shoot of the
Street Legal Grudge Racing program. Midnight Madness is designed to give the youth of our
community a safe, legal venue to race their cars at the very time of night they might normally be
racing illegally on the streets, without fear of legal repercussions or danger to others. Midnight
Madness is a celebration of the night that includes pre-race and in-race concerts starring popular
local bands, motorcycle stunt exhibitions by the St. Louis Streetfighterz and a mini-bike contest.
Gates open at 4:30pm with time trials at 6:00pm and eliminations at 7:30pm for Bracket Racing
and the National Dragster Challenge. Gates will open for Midnight Madness at approximately
11:00pm, following the completion of the early Friday program, and grudge racing continues
until 5:00am.
Saturday, July 31, E.T. (Elapsed Time) Bracket Racing/National Dragster Challenge: This
Regular Points program takes place every Saturday night and features Super Pro, Pro and Street
classes running for up to a $1,200 purse. Also included is the 1/8-Mile Money Race running for a
$2,000 prize presented to the night's winner. In addition, all classes will be competing for a
coveted NHRA "Wally" trophy, the highest honor in drag racing, in the National Dragster
Challenge.
