USAC at Tri-City

question for people who went to the show last year. what kind of car count did the sprints draw last year?

is this silver crown, or some other division?
i saw silver crowns at gateway one year and they were great!
better then the busch cars that year actually.

25 sprints and 27 midgets last year. This year the midgets are POWRi sanctioned so you might get a few more of them. Many of those guys do not want to run with USAC.

As for the SC at Gateway, that was some of the best racing ever. Those races were always better than the Busch or any other headline series that they were running with. When Gateway dropped those cars, I quit getting season tickets and have not attended a race there in 3 or 4 years.

40 might be kind of a push because kokomo runs sunday nights and its a quarter mile and much closer to home for many of the drivers.

Jones, Wise, Drake, Darland, Hagen, Coons, Clauson, Neely, Hollingsworth, and Short are pretty much all the drivers in the cars in the teams that chase points.

drivers closer to tri city than kokomo
Daron Clayton
Hunter Shurenberg
Jeff Davis
Chris Windom
Mitch and Kyle Wissmiller

others that could be a toss up
Dickie Gaines
Jon Stanbrough(hottest driver right now, but points leader at kokomo)
Shane Cottle (2nd in points at Kokomo)
Brandon Petty (possible 2nd Jeff Walker car)
Tracy Hines (if Hoffman's have a car ready)
Brad Sweet
Scott Weir
Jon Vennard

it'll be interesting to see if any of the usac guys have midget rides or bring their own rides.
