VALPARAISO, Ind. (Dec. 19) – JBD Race Promotions is pleased to announce that the Kankakee County Speedway will be visited by the USMTS National Tour on Friday, August 7, 2009, for a $2,000-to-win show.
Kankakee County Speedway's Modified drivers will be able to test their abilities against some of the finest Modified drivers in the country, and KCS Modified drivers can earn weekly points toward the entry fee of the event.
“We welcome the USMTS and look forward to a spectacular show,” said track promoter Doug Judy. “This is an event that no fan of Modifieds should miss.”
This will be the first-ever appearance at the Kankakee County Speedway by the USMTS.
The Kankakee County Fair Board and Indiana-based JBD Race Promotions signed a three-year deal in September to bring racing back to the 58-year-old clay oval for the 2009 racing season after sitting dark in 2008.
